A dangerous precedent is being set in the "Center of New Music" in Darmstadt, Germany. Schiller Institute founder, Helga Zepp-LaRouche attended a performance of Beethoven's Fidelio which went way beyond taking it out of it's critical historical setting and actually re-wrote the music to provide anything but an uplifting experience. Please read and circulate this open letter calling on classical music lovers of the world to fight for the sanctity of music's most profound composers.
