I’ve reached the stage of this painting where I’ve covered the canvas with colors and values that are at least close to what I’m shooting for in the final product. It’s been a while since I’ve tried anything with a wildlife focus, but I’ve really enjoyed working on these wood ducks for a change. Ironically, it’s the background that I keep struggling with, finding what direction I want to go in. All in good time, I suppose. Now who wants to come up with a name for me?
