To close out 2025, we want to thank all of our Black Hills local rodeo fans for your continuous support. This year, you voted the Days of 76 as the “Best of the Black Hills” in the Rodeo category which is a special honor given the world class rodeos produced in our area. Our local community is the reason we’ve done this for the last 103 years. Here’s to 2026!

Every year Miss Rodeo America chooses her top 5 horses that she rode throughout her reign. This year, she chose Lil Colonel Frost, better known as Scout, who was ridden at the Days of 76 for number 3. Scout is owned by committee members Travis & Suzanne Rogers.

Scout is a beautiful and powerful representative of the American Quarter Horse. Registered as Lil Colonel Frost and owned by Travis Rogers, he has been a privilege to ride throughout my rodeo queen career. I was especially excited for the full-circle moment of riding him again this year as Miss Rodeo America at the Days of ’76. No matter the task at hand, Scout always gave his best and rose to every expectation!

Hold your horses rodeo fans! Days of 76 is on the verge of an exciting transformation with major ticketing changes on the horizon. With the closing of Deadwood’s ticket partner, Black Hills Central Reservations, we are seizing this opportunity to revolutionize our strategy. We ask for your patience as we work tirelessly to get tickets on sale as soon as possible. Our target sale date for ALL ticket sales is mid-March 2026. We will provide real time updates on social media and by email to those subscribed to our emails from the website. Thanks for your patience. We promise to once again bring you the “Best Rodeo. No Bull.”

Our 2025 Days of 76 Chairman, Jimmy Mattson, had the honor of standing among the best Large Outdoor Rodeo Committees in the country tonight. Though the Days of 76 did not win the award, we are grateful for the nomination. Congratulations to all of tonight’s winners! South Dakota rodeo was once again well represented!

Congratulations to our 2025 Miss Days of 76, Madison Arnold, on winning the title of 2026 Miss Rodeo South Dakota! In a nod to the lucky hands of Deadwood, Madison becomes the sixth Miss Days of 76 to go on to become Miss Rodeo South Dakota. She will be an outstanding ambassador for our state sport of rodeo across the country!

The 2025 Days of 76 Committee is honored to be recognized as a nominee for the 2025 Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year. Thank you to all who nominated us for this award! Being among some of the best rodeo productions and personnel in the country is an honor that we don’t take lightly. We would also like to extend our congratulations to our 2025 contract personnel who are also nominees: Bradley Narducci, Music Director of the Year, Beau Scheuth and Nathan Jestes, Bullfighter of the Year. The winners will be announced at the PRCA Awards Banquet on December 3 at 6 pm PT.
