Here is my first series, it is also my first mix media collage 😅 first time trying this medium and I love it. Though that could also be my topic! For this series I have chosen to represent some of the common mental illnesses that people often struggle with. I really wanted to try and capture the feelings that come with the struggle with these illnesses.

Depicted is depression, body image issues, trust issues caused by trauma, suicide(the fear of all you could miss if you do take your own life and the hope to keep going so that you won’t miss out when things get better), and the difficulty of setting boundaries and the manipulation and hurt that can come from that. I really hope you guys like them and can see and maybe better understand or better relate to those struggling with these trials that we can not always see on the surface!
