Classes are offered for youth and adults promoting artistic expression through art history, media, technique and observation.

Art Classes now forming. Reserve a spot. Classes are filling quickly.
Call Diana Zwahlen Master Art Teacher at 913-638-8998.
Classes for home schooled students 6th grade through 12th grade are forming now.

K -5th Art for home schooled students begins Thursday August 22nd.
Two hour sessions twice monthly.

Adult classes to be held at the De Soto Art Council room located at 32905 W 84th Street

Adult Drawing class begins August 19th at 10:00 until 12:00p.m.
Four two hour classes: August 19, 26, September 9, and 16th.

Adult Watercolor class begins August 28 at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00p.m.
Four two hour classes: August 21, 28, September 4, 11, 18.

Fall art workshop working with a variety of media begins
October 2 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Four two-hour sessions: October 2, 9, 16 and 23.

Private art lessons are available upon request.

Art Exploration is hosting Open Studio session for two hours. Artist are welcome to bring their own work and media of choice. Open Studio is free for all artists. Open Studio is held at the De Soto Art Council facility located 32905 W 84th Street.
Open Studio dates: September13, October 25, November 29 and December 20, 2019

So anxious to announce our first class is scheduled.

Wednesday February 20th will be the first day for the Adult Watercolor class at the De Soto Arts Center starting at 1pm-3pm. There is room for only one more adult artist to attend on Wednesdays. If there is enough interest in Adult Beginning Watercolor a class can be scheduled for Tuesday afternoons from 1pm. to 3pm. Call 913-638-8998 for more information.
There is also interest in an Adult drawing class. To form a class I need at least three enrollees.
Remember our first Open Studio is Friday February 22nd from 10am-noon and you can have a cup of coffee, create and chat. Let's be creative and think sunshine.
