We are almost two weeks away from opening night of 1776 the Musical, and it's time to introduce another important relationship that fuels this show.

John Adams (Brian Elliott) spends months away from home fighting for independence, but his letters to his wife Abigail (Lisa Hokans) reveal the love, support, and partnership that keep him going through the challenges of creating a new country. Their relationship is funny, tender, and deeply inspiring, showing that even history's greatest leaders needed someone in their corner.

Don't miss the chance to experience this remarkable story of courage, sacrifice, and the people behind America's founding. Join us for 1776 and see why the bond between John and Abigail Adams remains one of the show's most beloved elements.

Behind the declaration are the relationships that shaped a nation!

In 1776: The Musical, the fight for independence isn't just about politics, it's about people.

At the heart of the story is the fascinating relationship between John Adams of Massachusetts (Brian Elliott), Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania (Chad Lemerande) and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia (Bucky Marklein) as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy. Their relationship becomes one of the driving forces behind the creation of the Declaration of Independence.

Don't miss this inspiring, humorous, and human look at America's founding!

Following our June 30 performance of 1776, stay after the curtain call for a Q&A and discussion with cast member Brian B. Elliott!

Brian B. Elliott is a New York based actor who is proud to be reprising the role of John Adams after twenty years! He has made regular appearances at the Fireside Theatre in Ft. Atkinson, WI, variously as Bob Cratchit (Scrooge), Henry Etches (Titanic), Cogsworth (Beauty & the Beast), and Grantaire (Les Miserables), among others. At the Mercury Theater of Chicago, he's appeared as Max Bialystok (The Producers), and at PlaybyPlay Theater in Green Bay as Lord Capulet (Romeo & Juliet). Love to his parents, Warren and Susan, for making all of this possible (Instagram: )!

This special conversation will explore the relationship between dramatic fiction and historical fact, how theatre can serve as a gateway to learning history, and the ways artistic interpretation can shape our understanding of the past, for better and for worse.
