What a Saturday!!!!!
Wow all I can say is wow.
I’m gonna keep it short and simple.
We’re dedicated to our racers and we will go to any lengths to make it happen.
Thank all of you that came and thank all of you that weathered the storm with us to race and see some amazing action. From some of Floridas most talented drivers.
Couple of highlight even races would have to be watching Dustin Rhodes and Dave Vera , Rich Boehmler, and AJ Hall go at it in the dark with absolutely no traction laid down on track after the rain. There were no loss of traction moments, just some amazing skills being laid down.
The VTA race was amazing. Watching Keith Manton carve out his lines was pretty epic as it led to his victory but the real race was between father and son Jason and Caden Dembroski. These two went at it and had everyone on their feet. Dave Roach had a few mishaps but manages a 4th. Drew Steinbacher made VtA look fun as his style of a controlled slide upon entry brings him in 5th but only because he had a few mishaps during the 300 second main. Great job everyone.
Scott Gallante puts on a clinic in nascar and packs in a win with style. Brent Williams all the way from Georgia takes second with a 6 tenths and his son 4 tenths off his bumper finish 2 and 3.
GT-12 is HHHHHOOOOTTTTT! The amount of entries in this class is growing and it’s these little 1s rockets are so impressive. I want to see this be the purse class for this series I truly do.
Dustin Rhodes takes a commanding lead throughout the day and destroys us all in the evening as well. The talent this guy brings is pretty unreal.
John Hart takes second and Dave Roach hits the 3 spot. Fun race to watch and be involved in.
There are just too many thank you’s on my shoulders and if I forget someone please forgive me.
Thank you to my girl Jen for putting up with a week of craziness. It’s been non stop making this one right for everyone. She stands right by my side and makes a good slaw dawg wouldn’t ya say?
Jen and I started our journey after we met at Strickland almost 6 years ago. The place means a lot to us. We are both people pleasers and we will always do our best to make it happen and keep it amazing. The little details are what we are both most critical of. We drive each other crazy but we always get it done. I love you baby.
Phil! From the day I met this guy and heard his voice I knew what his contribution to the hobby should be and I was dead on point. Phil has helped me through a lot and does an amazing job as race director. Most of all he’s a great dude and loves this sport as much as anyone. And he couldn’t and wouldn’t do it without Heather his wife who always keeps the sign ups on point and organized. Thank you both for all you do.
Dustin Rhodes , Chris Oathout, Jacob Gray, Keith Manton. Thank you all for all your hard work and perseverance in the absolutely scorching heat to make this track the best it could be. Without all of you we woulda never pulled this off. You guys are the best friends a guy could ask for and I’m thankful for each of you.
Jacob Gray. Thank you for the GT-12 buddy. I enjoyed the day and forgot about my pain for the 15 minutes of fame I had. Thanks again for everything you do for me personally and for all you do for the track.
Drew Steinbacher. Holy smokes dude!!!! Thank you for the trophy’s you made man they were amazing and everyone absolutely loved them. Drew is a very smart cookie and houses 25 3d printers which he has created a business with. The stuff he makes besides awards are awesome and we will be handing out some stuff of his in our raffle over the next 4 races.
Izzy Santiago. Thank you for being Izzy, the God Father of Rc. Izzy is always doing things for everyone and it’s just amazing to see someone so committed who loves this hobby so much. Izzy made some awesome shirts I saw floating around the Pitts and also made some rookie shirts that we will be handing out in the coming weeks.
Thank you Lord Jesus for bringing these amazing people into my life. Life would be so dull without yall.
Love you guys and I MEAN IT!!!
Thank you to all who helped us get the track back together. Mike Bean said it’ll take ya 2hrs to get it dry. We did it in an hour and 15. Mothers, fathers, kids all armed themselves with blowers, squeegees, brooms, and Paul Curry saves the day with a propane torch which drys the surface and gets it warm so we could continue. Thank you to everyone who helped. I think the entire Hall family had a utensils in their hands and were as eager as we were to get things done.
Guys. I’m smoked and I’m gonna shut up and leave it at that.
Thank you to all our sponsors. We will be raffling off all the amazing products they’ve sent us over the next 4 races. The raffle is free and everyone who enters the class races is eligible to win at each event.
