Featuring an all-star ensemble led by Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis, PRESSURE is set during the tense 72 hours before D-Day. As the fate of the free world hangs in the balance, General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg confront an impossible choice -- launch the largest and most dangerous invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether. The film is directed by Anthony Maras (Hotel Mumbai), who co-wrote the script with Olivier award-winner, David Haig, based on Haig's critically lauded play, which enjoyed a hugely successful run in London's West End, before going on to be performed for Her Majesty the Queen and world leaders to mark the D-Day 75th anniversary in 2019.

"In the nighttime stories, the people in the will are always the suspects." THE SHEEP DETECTIVES starts tonight Friday May 29th at TThe Liberty Theaterin Dayton at 7:00pm.

The film follows George Hardy (Jackman), a shepherd who loves his sheep and raises them only for their wool. Every night he reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand, never suspecting that not only can they understand but they argue for hours afterwards about whodunnit. When George is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it. The local cop Tim Derry (Braun), on the other hand, has never solved a serious crime in his life, so the sheep conclude they will have to solve it themselves, even if it means leaving their meadow for the first time and facing the fact that the human world isn't as simple as it appears in books. Cast includes Emma Thompson, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Conleth Hill, Hong Chau, Nicholas Galitzine, Tosin Cole, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Molly Gordon.

Fell in love with the sheep characters, the production design overall was charming, and the story was warm and funny.” The Sheep Detectives is a must see for ALL ages!

As Miranda Priestly nears retirement, she reunites with Andy Sachs to face off against her former assistant turned rival: Emily Charlton. Twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel—Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation.

The Critics Consensus says “Meryl Streep still wears Miranda Priestly like a finely-tailored suit in this sinfully enjoyable sequel, which is dressed to the nines in off-the-rack wish fulfillment and some trenchant observations about the state of modern media.” The Devil Wears Prada 2 has the audience giving it a positive rating of 85%. One audience member wrote, “that's how you do a sequel! Whole new story with the same cast with all the Easter Eggs to tie to the original with more character development and closure that you didn't get to see from the first one!”

RATED: PG-13 for strong language and some suggestive references
RUNTIME: 120 minutes

"Spread joy, love, and peace. That is what I want the world to feel, magic." MICHAEL starts this Friday May 15 at 7:00pm at The Liberty Theater in Dayton. The audience rates this movie as a MUST SEE!

MAY 15 FRI 7:00pm
MAY 16 SAT 7:00pm
MAY 17 SUN 3:00pm
MAY 19 TUES 6:30pm

Michael is the cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known. The film tells the story of Michael Jackson's life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world. Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never seen before. This is where his story begins.

The cast includes Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, Colman Domingo and Jayden Harville.

Rated PG-13 for some thematic material, language, and smoking Runtime is 127 minutes.

The Critics and Audience are on completely different sides of opinion when it comes to the film Michael. The Audience rating this movie 97% said, “the Michael Jackson biopic was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Jaffar Jackson was incredible in portraying Michael — from the voice and mannerisms to the iconic dance moves, everything felt authentic and respectful. He didn’t just imitate Michael; he captured his presence and emotion perfectly. What made the film so powerful was that it showed a more real and human side of Michael that audiences have rarely seen before. It went beyond the fame and performances and showed his struggles, kindness, vulnerability and genius in a very emotional way. The music, performances and storytelling were all excellent.” The Critic Consensus wrote, “While Jaafar Jackson's smooth moves bring the King of Pop to uncanny life, this musical biopic mostly plays like a "greatest hits" album that could've benefitted from including liner notes to give actual insight into the icon” and gave it a rating of 39%. Be the judge yourself and come see it at The Liberty Theater!

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held in the theater Annex on Saturday, May 9th from 1-4pm, for our dear theater family member, Dave Molesh, who passed away in January 2026.

Dave brought his fine singing and acting skills to the Liberty stage when he and his wife, Donna, first moved to Dayton in 2012, appearing in “Annie” as Daddy Warbucks’ butler. He went on to perform in most of our live shows from that time on, crooning in several variety shows and playing roles that ran the gamut from a pirate in “Peter Pan” to Dorothy’s Uncle Henry in “The Wizard of Oz”.

Please visit, from 1 to 4pm with Dave’s wife and family, along with his extended theater family as we show appreciation for all he contributed to our community!
