wanted to share an update on what has been a very intense and unexpected day.Lisa had a sudden medical emergency today and had to undergo urgent surgery. Her gallbladder had ruptured, which was causing the severe pain she was experiencing. The wonderful news is that she is out of surgery, and everything went incredibly well. The surgeon confirmed that everything else inside looks completely fine and healthy, which is a massive answer to prayer and leaves our biggest worries completely behind us.Because the gallbladder had ruptured, it left quite a bit of severe inflammation behind. The surgeon decided it was safest not to force the removal of the organ right now. Instead, he washed everything out thoroughly and placed three temporary drains to keep clearing things out safely. She will be staying in the hospital for about a week so the medical team can keep her comfortable and monitor her closely. She will also be on a 6-week course of antibiotics to make sure the infection is completely gone, and we are temporarily pausing her Zepbound to give her digestive system a full chance to rest and heal. The doctor said the next few days won't be a cakewalk and she is going to feel pretty sick and worn out as her body fights off the rest of the inflammation, but she is safe and in the best possible hands. She’s going to need a lot of rest over the next few weeks before she can get back to her normal routine and working from home, but we are so thankful the hardest part is over.Thank you all for your love, thoughts, and prayers! I will keep everyone posted as she continues to wake up and recover.
