Tha Ashville Contestants Parade, on June 30, is another fun, informal parade. It was Leo’s 2nd parade as a blind horse. this time with Peyton riding him. He did well again. This parade had a tack/ wardrobe malfunction. Fergie’s bridle broke at the beginning. Fergie and Rachel didn’t miss a beat bridleless! Our wonderful golf cart crew went back to the trailer for zip ties with which to fix the bridle. An Ashville bystander helped with the fix. The show must go on.

It’s always fun riding with Michelle Wilhoit in the London Strawberry Parade. This year’s parade was on June 27, and was Rachel Brown’s first time hippodroming in a parade. And she did it on Leo. She rocked it! It was also Leo’s first parade as a totally blind horse. He rocked it, too! He seems to love having a job again.

It was wonderful to lead the Springfield, Ohio, Memorial Dy Parade with Ginger Patrick and her amazing black horse, Achilles. They were the riderless horse tribute to the Fallen Soldiers of our country.
