Short & Personalized! Contact us!

As a Theatre major at a smaller school, you will get far more firsthand experience with productions, whether that means being cast in several roles as an actor or being able to work as an assistant director, customer, or designer for a show. The main stage Hilltop Players productions we select at Bryan offer you the opportunity to get involved and grow as an artist in a way that larger programs ar

e simply unable to provide. Musical Theatre graduates are teaching music and drama in public and private schools, while others are serving their communities in local and regional theaters. Others with strong performance abilities are singing and playing all over the world. Still, more have exciting careers outside the music field while using music to enrich their lives and the lives of others. A Theatre degree can lead to a variety of careers both in and out of the theatre, including:
Commercial, regional, and dinner theatre; TV/film studios; industrial shows; church drama; touring companies; Summerstock companies; children’s theatre; education; sports announcing; advertising; public & media relations; human resources; and business, media, and political consulting. Please prepare the following to share with our faculty audition panel that best represents you as an artist, and do it wearing clothes that make you feel confident! Two 60-second monologues (one humorous and one serious). If singing, one 60 seconds selection from a Broadway-style song. Reach out to us via email at [email protected] or call 423-775-7498 if you have specific questions about auditions, our programs, or available scholarships. We are here for you! Need an accompanist? We can provide a professional accompanist for your audition if you request and send music at least 3 weeks in advance. If you do not need an accompanist, please bring a digital version of your accompaniment that you can play for us (i.e. CD or download to your phone).

FINAL PERFORMANCE TONIGHT!!!!!

Our last character spotlight is Jasmine Mathis, a senior Theatre major. Here’s what she had to say about this show:

“I have loved every bit of this production, from the cast and crew to the scripted (and non-scripted) moments and more. Being able to ‘play myself’ has been such an enjoyable challenge, and I love watching the audience get involved and enjoy what we have worked so hard on!”

We love you and your insane improv talents, Jaz! Come out tonight for one last chance to see this amazing show!

DAY TWO OF THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!

Our opening night performance was INCREDIBLE - thank you to our amazing audience who fully engaged and participated along with us!

Up next in our character spotlights are seniors Weston Armstrong and Maddy Fournier. Here’s what they had to say about this production:

“My favorite part has been the great community that the Bryan college theater department has become to me and seeing everyone step up as a family and support each other through every phase of the process. Especially the warm welcome I felt as a first time actor.” -Weston

“This is one of the most unique shows that I’ve been in and I’ve loved every minute! My favorite part has been how spontaneous it is and that we haven’t performed the same show twice. We’ve had an incredible cast that is quick to adapt and we’ve had a great time both onstage and off!” -Maddy

So thankful for both of you and your incredible work on this show!

Tickets are still available for tonight’s performance at 7:00 pm! DON’T MISS IT!!!!!!

It’s OPENING NIGHT!!!!!!!

In keeping with tradition, it’s time to feature two of our actors in a character spotlight post! Up first and second is our two freshmen: Ayden Bruce and Ayla Shreve! When asked what they loved about being involved in this production, this is what they said:

“My favorite thing about the play is that there is absolutely no part about it that is serious, and that’s what makes it so easy to enjoy. There were several rehearsals I couldn’t stop myself from laughing because of how much fun it is. Looking back I’m so glad I chose to audition for this play and I’m beyond grateful I got to spend my semester being apart of it.” -Ayden

“This show has been an absolute blast! I love that the cast gets to play themselves. I’ve gotten to learn so much from and about my cast mates and grow as an actress by watching them do what they love.” -Ayla

You both are KILLING it! So glad you’re Hilltop Players!
