What a fantastic discovery in music history! The "Kitchennette Orchestra" were clearly pioneers in found-object instrumentation, with spoons appearing to be a favorite. We hope their music was as charming as their outfits!
​We’re excited to share that this piece of history was found with the family photos of our president, Eva Camp. It seems the musical talent runs in the family, as the Winans' current descendants, the Bertles, perform and teach as the band . A beautiful example of full-circle history!

Good morning Friends and Music Lovers! Today we are at the Mountaineer Folk Festival at the beautiful Fall Creek Falls state park. I don’t know if you’ve ever had the opportunity to come to one each fall but it is AMAZING!! So many vendors, demonstrations, and of course FOLK MUSICIANS!! The DCO helps with taking donations at the gate and parking each year from the FCF Visitors Center.

We would love to have yall come visit us and say hello! We’ve seen several of our Dayton Community members already!
