We get so many questions and comments about our window display, and the whole idea behind it was simply to have fun making ridiculous things!

As per usual, Sarah’s ideas are a little bigger than our team can pull off alone. So we thought, why not invite you to get behind the hot glue gun and help us create a little magic for our winter display?

No experience necessary, just a willingness to get crafty and make something whimsical for the fun of it.

We snuck this into the workshop calendar!

We’re excited to welcome guest instructors Geno Luketic and Steph Beiser to MADE for a special four-part Raku pottery workshop!

Over four Sundays, you’ll experience the process from start to finish. Throw and trim your own pieces with Raku firing in mind, then join us for a final session of glazing and firing using a specialty Raku kiln.

Known for its dramatic firing process and unpredictable, one-of-a-kind finishes, Raku is something pretty special to experience firsthand🔥🔥🔥

We’re looking for someone to join our team this holiday season to support our retail shop, daily operations, and Handmade Holiday events.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with the potential to continue beyond the holidays.

Saturday availability through December is required, and weekday evening availability is a plus.

Handmade Holiday workshops are officially OPEN for registration!

We’re filling November & December with holiday pottery, sewing, seasonal crafts, Saturday drop-in making, handmade shopping, and special events. Whether you’re making something to give, creating a new tradition, or just looking for a reason to slow down and get creative, there’s plenty happening at MADE this season.✨

A little reminder: clay moves slowly! If you’re hoping to make pottery for holiday decorating or gifting, November is the time to get on the calendar.

Join us this Sunday at noon to hand-build your own Sleepy Planter😴. We’ll walk you through the steps to create a functional clay planter and then help you pick the perfect little plant to put inside.

MADE will handle the firing and glazing, and the Luna team will pot your plant for you to pick up!

MADE Studio & Shop and Gem City Reuse are teaming up for a Fiber Swap!!!!

Join us Wednesday, October 14 @5-8pm for an evening of swapping and secondhand fiber supplies. Donate what you’re no longer using, then browse the swap and fill a bag for $5. All proceeds support Gem City Reuse so they can continue reuse projects and programs in the Dayton community.

We’re accepting clean, usable:
• Yarn & fabric
• Sewing & embroidery supplies
• Knitting & crochet supplies
• Ribbon & sewing patterns
• Fiber craft tools

We cannot accept:
• Fabric scraps or very small pieces
• Tangled or unusable yarn
• Stained, damaged, or dirty materials
• Partially completed projects
• Broken tools
• Sewing machines or parts
• Other arts & crafts supplies

Early drop-offs are encouraged! Donations can be dropped off at MADE Studio & Shop, 735 Wayne Ave, during shop hours:

Wed–Sat: 10–6PM
Sun: 10–4PM

OR bring your donations the night of the swap.

Clear out your fiber stash, keep good supplies in circulation, and leave with something new-to-you for your next project!!

Fiber Club is for anyone who wants a little more time, space, and accountability actually to make the things they’ve been meaning to make.

Come for:
• Access to shop member-only fabric collection
• Discounted pattern printing
• Regular sew-alongs & knit-alongs
• Access to our Fiber Exchange
• Shared studio tools & workspace
• Optional sewing machine rentals
• A community to keep you making

Bring your sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, mending, or whatever fiber project is currently taking over your kitchen table.

Wednesdays, 6–9 pm
Sundays, 2–5 pm

No formal instruction. Just dedicated time, good resources, and people making alongside you.
