Graduating? Experiencing habitat loss? Finishing the last of your unfinished business? Come down to TFSC's Spring Quarter Open Mic Night to express your hopes and woes this Wednesday 5/27 at 7PM!

The theme of the evening, "So You're Going Extinct..." is an opportunity to reflect about looming graduation, climate change, haunted houses, becoming an expert in a dying field, or really anything you'd like to talk about!
An interest form is available through our link tree in bio-- you can still perform without filling it out, but those who do will receive priority.

Photos from our upcoming show you DON'T want to miss: A Festival of Short Works! Happening THIS WEEKEND on Saturday May 16 at 7PM and Sunday May 17 at 2PM in Wyatt Pavilion Theatre. TFSC productions are always free to attend, and any proceeds of this show will be donated to the ACLU.

Featuring three student-written plays with themes of truth, empathy, community and identity, A Festival of Short Works invites audiences to connect the stage to their lives and the experiences of the world around them.

GET READY! Theatre for Social Change is proud to present A Festival of Short Works this upcoming weekend, May 16th and 17th. Featuring three student-written and directed plays, this show is one you don't want to miss!

Performances are in Wyatt Pavilion Theatre, 5/16 @7:00PM and 5/17 @2:00PM. As with all TFSC productions, shows are available to attend at a pay-what-you-can level.

We are less than TWO WEEKS from Opening Night of A Festival of Short Works! Meet the fabulous directors who have been hard at work calling the shots to bring these shows to life for all of you!

TFSC's A Festival of Short Works will feature three student-written pieces; show dates are May 16 at 7:00PM and May 17th at 2:00PM in Wyatt Theatre. Performances are free to attend, though donations are greatly appreciated.

AUDITIONS & PRODUCTION APPLICATIONS are now OPEN for our spring show, A Festival of Short Works! Featuring three, original student-written works, this show is one you'll definitely not want to miss.

Sign up today for an audition slot on SUNDAY MARCH 1st in LAB A. If you can't make it in-person, video auditions are also accepted.

A huge thank you to our performers and everyone who came out to our Benefit Performance on 2/18! Because of all of you, we raised over $100 for NorCal Resist!

Donations will be going towards NorCal Resist's Immigrant Defense fund. NorCal Resist is a local community-based organization that provides a variety of educational resources and events, such as the "Know Your Rights" trainings focused on immigrant rights. Come see Blind Eyes Could Blaze, an original student-written play by Ryan "Gel" McKinney, this SATURDAY 2/7 at 7:00 PM and SUNDAY 2/8 at 2:00 PM! Shows will be held at the Della Davidson Performance Studio in Nelson Hall, located next to the Gorman Museum of Native American Art. House opens 20 minutes before the show starts.

As with all TFSC productions, entry is free. Donations from the show will go towards NAMI Yolo County, a local mental health nonprofit.

"Blind Eyes Could Blaze" follows a father who creates a fictitious version of his life after his teenage son attempts su***de and ends up comatose. An excerpt from this piece was produced as a part of the UC Davis Theatre and Dance Department's Written and Directed By showcase in Fall 2025.

Content Warnings: this play includes mentions of suicidal ideation and attempted su***de, depictions of verbal abuse and attempted physical abuse, a panic attack, loud and rapid sounds of an EKG machine, and ableist language.

AUDITION signups and PRODUCTION applications for our Winter Show, "Blind Eyes Could Blaze", an original student play by Ryan "Gel" McKinney, are now OPEN! All forms are available through our linktree in our bio.

Auditions will be held this upcoming Sunday, 11/23, from 10am to 2pm in Wright 101 (Lab A). Sides are available through the signup form; feel free to prepare a short monologue as well. If you cannot make it, Video auditions are also accepted, due the previous Saturday 11/22 at 11:59pm.

We are also looking for a Stage Manager and Sound Designer!Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will close once a candidate has been selected or by Friday 12/12 at 11:59pm, so sign up quickly or risk missing your chance!

Interested in doing tech for the show? We'd love to have you-- signups for tech will be coming Winter Quarter, so keep an eye out for future updates!

And for those who just want to be in the audience...show dates are February 7th at 7pm and February 8th at 2pm so MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We're so excited to put on this show for you!

Curious about our fall show? Theatre of the Oppressed is a form of alternative theatre...but what does that mean exactly?

Of course, the BEST way to learn more is to experience it yourself by coming to our show (this Saturday, 6pm in Wright 101 (Lab A)! :D), but you can read about the basics in this short graphic-- TO is authentic, people-driven theatre that seeks to uplift the voices of the oppressed from a variety of situations in life.
