We’re just one week away from the 2026 Pulling Focus African American Film Festival. 🎬⭐️

What began as a vision to celebrate and uplift Black cinema has grown into a powerful annual festival bringing audiences and filmmakers together through storytelling that inspires, challenges, and connects us.

Opening Night takes place Thursday, June 4th at The Last Picture House in Downtown Davenport.

✨ Reception begins at 5:30 PM�🎞 Screenings begin at 6:30 PM�🎤 Filmmaker Q&A at 8:30 PM

From June 4th to June 7th the festival continues all weekend with matinee and evening screenings across multiple Quad Cities venues, including The Last Picture House, The Figge Art Museum, The Putnam Museum, TMBC Lincoln Center, and STEAM on Wheels.

Audiences can expect powerful short films, filmmaker conversations and stories from local, regional, national, and international voices throughout the weekend.

Whether you attend one screening or spend the whole weekend with us, we invite you to experience the energy, artistry, and impact of Pulling Focus 2026.

We're kicking off the 2026 Pulling Focus Film Festival with a night that sets the tone—bold stories, dynamic voices, and unforgettable visuals.

Opening Night is more than a screening. It's a curated experience that celebrates the power of Black cinema and the artists behind it. Join us for an evening of community, conversation, and culture.
