Eye of the Beholder Painting

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Well,
so are the visual illusions and story telling we perceive from various forms of artwork. These creative, modern, abstract paintings became an outlet for me in the midst of struggling with Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Postpartum depressing & psychosis. The efforts put into these one and only pieces come from the soul in combination with the mind and letting go of control. They can't be perfectly duplicated again, no matter how hard someone tries. From the time that color leaves its individual bottle, mixes with the others and lands on that canvas in that moment, time freezes for a split second, and the fear of not knowing what will happen or how it will look takes over. However, through the entire process of accepting that, having faith, being confident, and remaining hopeful that everything will be okay, becomes the full circle of the chaotic experience turned into a masterpiece of beauty and a story to tell for everyone else to behold in their own eye.
