Garrick has had some health issues since May 9th. He had fevers for 20 days, tested negative for COVID, influenza A and B.
Was feeling better but a week later started fevers again.
CT, ultrasounds, x ray showed peritonitis. An overnight stay and procedure to install a drain.
Ten days later drain was removed.
Yesterday tests were ran and he is now in Mercy with a large blood clot.. from just above the knee up into abdomen. Infection from area of fluid drain put pressure on a vessel. This seems to have caused a backflow, hence the clot. A piece has moved to his right lung. He’s on blood thinner and antibiotics. Waiting to hear from vascular and other surgeon for plan of care.
