We are a group of individuals that are fed up with the humanitarian crisis at our borders. We have come together to create meaningful change and help those who have nothing. To help the children being held in sub-human conditions as the leaders in our government perpetrate and endorse human rights violations of the worst order. To help reunite families that have continue being torn apart.
In cages and overcrowded detention centers rife with abuse and reeking of filth, devoid of any comfort, sanitation or protection from concrete floors and the elements. Under freeway overpasses in makeshift pens and in de facto concentration camps. Tens of thousands languish in miserable conditions, unable to obtain any form of assistance or succor. The pictures we’re all seeing speak louder than words. And it breaks our hearts.
Join us on July 21 at 4 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Danville for an evening of music, song, and the spoken word, followed by a silent auction and reception to benefit RAICES Texas, a frontline organization that provides legal aid to immigrants seeking asylum. We chose RAICES because of their proven expertise forged by the daily practice of immigration law, coupled with a deep commitment to advocacy.
