Blackhawk Gallery

Blackhawk Gallery is an art gallery sponsored by Alamo Danville Artists' Society. Membership includes artists and patrons who appreciate the visual arts.

The gallery showcases original artwork by approx. 40 local artists, and changes display every 10 weeks with opening receptions. ADAS regularly hosts distinguished and nationally known guest artists at the monthly meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our membership currently consists of over 200 professional and non-professional artists of all levels, including non-artists as well.

Father's Day Art Social Invitation

Dear ADAS Members,

We invite you to participate in our Father's Day Art Social on Sunday, June 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Blackhawk Gallery.

This is a wonderful opportunity to display your artwork, meet gallery visitors, and potentially sell your work. On the same day, the Blackhawk Museum will be hosting its annual Father's Day Car Show, which attracts a large number of visitors to the Plaza. We expect excellent foot traffic throughout the day.

Please arrive early to set up your artwork. If you would like to display your work on our triangle display panels, we can arrange that for you. To reserve panels and confirm your participation, please contact:

A heartfelt thank you to Arts Contra Costa for inviting us to the Lesher Center for the Arts Speaker Series. Meeting Edward James Olmos was a truly inspiring and memorable experience, and we were honored to spend such a wonderful evening celebrating the arts and the vibrant creative community that brings us together.

Edward James Olmos’s remarkable contributions to film, television, and arts advocacy have made a lasting impact, inspiring generations of artists and helping elevate diverse voices in storytelling. Sharing this special occasion with him made the evening even more meaningful.

We are deeply grateful for this opportunity and for all that Arts Contra Costa does to nurture, champion, and strengthen the arts throughout our region.

Join us for the 49th Annual Primavera Art Show presented by the Alamo Danville Artists’ Society! Celebrate spring, creativity, and the incredible talent of our local artists at the beautiful Blackhawk Gallery.

This year’s juror is acclaimed artist and Las Positas College professor Dave Wagner. Awards will be presented on Saturday at 4:30 PM, followed by a festive artists’ reception from 5:00–7:00 PM.
