MAD Arts

MAD Arts Tomorrow’s revolution. Beyond the ordinary museum experience, we are a creative hub that stimulates the senses and engages the mind.

A celebration of the limitless imagination that resides within us all. Mad Arts showcases artists, designers, and creatives whose work disrupts, provokes, and transforms what art and technology can achieve. We’re a central hub for innovative ideas and technological experiences, seeking to close the gap between the artist and viewer to expand digital horizons.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at MAD Arts for the Broward launch of Literally Everyone’s Invited: An Ode to South Florida. The evening celebrated the release of the publication and the many contributors whose words, images, and creative visions helped shape it.

Guests experienced readings from featured poets, heard photographers share the stories behind their selected images, and connected with fellow artists, collaborators, and community members. We were also honored to hear from collaborator Gesi Schilling and the O, Miami team, whose work continues to amplify the voices and stories that make South Florida unique.

Literally Everyone’s Invited is a collective reflection of place, identity, and the people who call this region home.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable.

Final days to experience Super Zone by Phil Evans and SHHH! by Dostopos before it closes on June 14.

Blending animation, digital environments, and layered visual storytelling, Super Zone transformed MAD Arts into a hyper-simulated landscape that feels both playful and unsettling. Building worlds that echo internet culture, gaming aesthetics, and collective memory.

With ¡SHHH!, Dostopos reminds us how overwhelming, poetic, and emotionally charged the constant flow of media can become - turning noise into atmosphere and fragmented visuals into collective memory.

We’re grateful to have shared these expansive works with our community and to have witnessed how audiences moved through, questioned, and interpreted its evolving environments.

On view through June 14 at MAD Arts.

The question is no longer “What am I looking at?” but rather, “What is happening to me as I experience this?”

Today, artists are not only creating objects, they are constructing environments. Working with light, sound, digital systems, and space, they create conditions that unfold through time and presence. The experience is not secondary to the artwork. It is the artwork.

This reflects a broader evolution in contemporary art: meaning is no longer delivered, but formed through interaction. The viewer is no longer outside the work, observing from a distance. They are inside it, physically, perceptually, emotionally.

MAD Arts operates within this expanded framework. By supporting immersive and technology-driven practices, they move beyond exhibition into something closer to activation, where art is not only seen, but entered, navigated, and felt.

What exists between concept and completion is often the least visible part of the process.

In her latest text, reflects on the role of hybrid, mid-scale institutions that operate between traditional models, yet are essential to how artistic work develops.

Drawing from her work as a cultural strategist and her involvement in shaping MAD Arts' structure, she describes an approach where resources and infrastructure can more directly support artists.

The “middle” -experimental, interdisciplinary, and evolving- often resists clear categorization, and is frequently overlooked.

At MAD Arts, this means supporting artists not only with space, but with the capacity to develop and produce their work.

Part of MAD Arts’s permanent collection, Anaisa Franco’s Reshaping IDs, Connecting Realities enters the collection as a suite of five installations.

The work approaches identity as a condition in constant flux, unstable, recursive, and shaped through its entanglement with systems of perception and technology. Fingerprints unfold into shifting topographies, irises extend into expansive constellations, and the face dissolves into distributed memory.

Rather than fixing identity as form, the work holds it in a state of transformation, where embodiment, data, and perception continuously reconfigure one another.

On view starting in June
