I’m excited to announce that I am a participating artist in The Fortune Cookie Project, curated by Catherine Vanaria

Each artist received a fortune cookie with a unique message and was challenged to create an original artwork inspired by that fortune. The exhibition brings together a wide range of creative interpretations, making for a fun and thought-provoking experience.

I would love for you to join us at the opening reception:

July 11
2:00–4:00 PM
Still River Editions, 128 East Liberty Street, Suite 3, Danbury, CT
Free and open to everyone

I would love for you to come experience this unique exhibition, see my contribution, and support the incredible artists involved in this project.

I hope to see you there!

The Temple Within has found its new loving home.

Nothing brings me greater joy than knowing a painting has found the soul it was meant for…someone who will live with it, appreciate it, and discover new layers of it with every passing day.

Each photo shared in the changing light fills my heart. A gentle reminder that the sacred temple we seek is already within. It fits perfectly, it landed where it belonged. Congratulations to the new owner of this exquisite piece.

Carefully preparing The Temple Within for its new forever home.
Inspired by Rumi’s words, this piece reminds us that beyond symbols, religions, and architecture, the sacred space we seek is already within us. Grateful to see it resonate so deeply with its new owner.

As Muslims around the world complete the sacred journey of Hajj today and prepare to welcome Eid al‑Adha tomorrow, this is truly a time of reflection, compassion, love, and unity.

May these blessed days bring peace to every heart, healing to those who suffer, and understanding among all people. May humanity choose kindness over hatred, respect over division, and love over conflict.

Eid Mubarak from our family to all.
May your prayers be accepted, your home be filled with joy, and your future be filled with peace and mercy.

Yesterday evening I attended the opening reception at the City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport, and it was such a wonderful experience. City Lights continues to be a welcoming space that celebrates creativity, local artists, and the power of art to bring people together. It was really nice being surrounded by creative people, artists, and everyone who genuinely loves art. The atmosphere was warm, inspiring, and full of great energy ! Definitely an evening I enjoyed a lot.

I came to you, Damascus, to ask forgiveness for being so faraway
your jasmine still living in my breath,
your Damascene blanket still warming my nights,
just like when my mother would tuck it around me
and whisper me to sleep.
Damascus no city feels like you,
and no love remembers me the way you do.
You taught me that nostalgia is a prayer and the roses are a homeland and the jasmine is the family that never dies.

The words of Nizar Qabbani the famous Syrian poet about jasmine, memory, and the Damascene blanket stayed with me, and they became the emotional starting point of this piece.
The Damascene blanket appears again as the background as a symbol of warmth, childhood, and belonging.
The canvas is filled with jasmine and red roses as well, because they are the official flowers of Damascus and, to me, they carry the feeling of my dad , home, nostalgia, and tenderness. Every element was placed intentionally the figures (the family), the background, the flowers, all connected to the idea of memory and returning to something that once felt safe.
I would really love to hear what you see when you look at it. Your interpretations and your feelings.
Everyone sees and feel something different, and that’s what makes my paintings even more complete to me.

Post Your Window

Since we’re all spending more time at home, I’m starting a little collective project called Post Your Window.

Take a photo of your window , the art that the snow has created. Then share it with me, here in the commens or on my DMs or text.

At the end, we’ll bring all the windows together and create a collective artwork from them ….a mosaic, a collage, or maybe something unexpected. We’ll decide together.

Different homes. Different views. Same moment in time.

Let’s see the world through each other’s windows.

The Blizzard turned my windows into a gallery of beautiful abstract portraits. Each glass square is a unique art work.

No filters , these are real colors and real conditions . Nature painted with frost and wind, reminding me that art and beauty are everywhere ,you just have to see them and increase your creativity by learning from literally everything that Mother Nature offers.

Stay warm and safe, and try to hold onto a little positivity in this heavy, and harsh winter weather.
