Danbury Ice Arena and Western Connecticut Youth Hockey Association Jr. Colonials Coach Michele Gintoli was asked by USA Hockey to coach a program very dear to her heart AHIHA at the disabled Hockey Festival. Listen to her interview she is at 19:55 mark but if you can watching it all is very inspiring. This is what hockey is all about.. We are proud of Michele Gintoli giving back to hockey!!

Mark DeMontis crosses the border to Buffalo, New York for the 2015 USA Disabled Hockey Festival. The 11th annual event brings together players with visual and hearing impairments, developmental disabilities as well as sledge hockey players and wounded warriors.

Youth Hockey Players it is Wednesday and you know that Means!! Skills clinic night 5:30 to 6:30 is our skills clinic.

I am happy to announce this weeks Goalie Coach will be Luiz Dibble fresh back from willing the EHL championship with the CT Oilers Jr team. Luiz's experience playing with Jr, Colonials BBD High School and now the Ct Oilers has exposed him to some great goalie coaches. He will take his knowledge to the ice tonight to work the Goalies through multiple creative drills to Further Develop there technique and Skills. This is a Goalie Clinic you do not want to miss this clinic!

Do not forget at 6:40 Danny Allen and Greg Haliskoe's Power Skating Clinic this clinic will work your edges and your skating power giving you more speed and control with your skating.

Danbury Ice Arena Youth Hockey League came to end today with the DHL Championship games. congratulations to all our players, coaches and Parents. It has been a great season with so many great memories on and off the ice. We look forward to seeing all in our spring and summer programs.
