Slow& steady wins the race....I've come along way here, but I have a long way to go. I've got the frame, body (all be it in lumber), engine, wheels. I still have to order tires, torque converter, rear gear: I've got the list, & I'll chip away. For me, this is a somewhat simple build- John Corey's suggestion, & a very smart suggestion, but I'm gonna creat my own axles, hubs, steering gear: sure...I can buy components, but I'd rather build as much from scratch: I can always replace components later if need be. I'm guessing I'll reconfigure all this next winter, but hopefully I'll be driving by Summer. I still need to trim the floor, & work on the frame some more, but I'm getting there. It's so gratifying to be able to build your own "car".... plugging away...

What a journey...my Harley: the engine has been together since May. To date: the engine STILL Will not start: I have compression: mechanical timing is dead on; I have plenty of spark: the problem: no fuel from the carb: the carb is shot: neglected, & too many chefs killed the soup. The fix?: a new carb. The problem?: the cost...when I bought this bike, it was in pieces: boxes of parts, & bags of nuts/ bolts. I've learned so much about how a motorcycle works, yet alone Harley-Davidson. The foundation is all there: it now becomes my responsability to make this the bike it's meant to be: I'm 95% there...almost home....I'll post the progress...that labor of love: pure desire has gotten me this far....

What to do when your Harley runs into problems?..., work on your other bike: in this case....VooDoo Child...oil's in the engine, engine mounted to the frame, torque drive mounted to the engine: drivline's almost complete. I decided for now to run another throttle lever- like I used on Bikula:-to throttle the motor, until I get funds to purchase a handlebar hand throttle: not perfect, but to shoot a video, it'll work. Hopefully this will be roadable by September: getting close: I still have to cable the brakes: hopefully this week....that Bitchin' grocery getter....gettin' there...

So what happens when you cross an Indy car with a VW Bus: the Brauhaus Bomber...finished & now ready to be submitted to Gran Turisimo for eval & approval: if accepted, the proceeds will go to charity: St. Judes...ok Dave, the rest is up to you: the car will be @ the shop tomorrow..
Let's do this...

Work has been off the charts busy. Aside from any kind progress on Voo Doo Child, most other projects I wanted to finish are temporarily on the back burner, however, I have been chiselling away on the Harley. The tins are now finished in color, cleared, polished, ready for install. The engine heads have been cleaned & polished, & I'm currently doing an inventory of what I have, what I need to put this back together. In all, I figure I'm 2 months out before this monster runs, but I'll post the progress. I'll keep ya posted: big ideas here, but patience will bring me the success I desire. In the meantime, I'll ride the Suzuki..wish me luck..

One step closer...Voo Doo Child....the tank is done, mounted on the bike. Next is to letter the tank, bench fire the the engine, finish the brakes. So far, so good: between bad health, lousy weather, & way too much work...I'm grateful I've gotten this far....patience....

Voo Doo child...been busy while being sick AGAIN...frame/ front end, painted& installed, now a true roller. Next: paint the tank, set up & install the motor, final the brakes, then hopefully ride this beast: hopefully within a month or so, but in the meantime, having fun doing the finish work....freedom...

Work has been so busy to the point of a nervous break down...to blow off some steam?... Say hello to the Rat Bike: a single speed boardwalk cruiser: part 1 of 2: bicycle 1st, pure Rat Bike later. The basics are done, & yeah, the rear wheel is a front wheel from a Harley Davidson Sportster. I'll post the progress...doing this is a lot better than drinking or shooting he**in: work has been off the rails!....

2019: in 2 words: extremely busy. The day job is off the charts, so to build anything new at the moment is not happening, so instead: finish off what I'm already building. Both Outlaw & Voo Doo Child have been dismantled for final finish: the hold up: the weather, but I'll plug away. 2 paintings also in the works: Uncle Boris, & that new hideaway...I just need more time, but yeah, I'll plug away during winter. I was able to paint the headlight for Voo Doo Child, next the tank. Pluggin' away....I 'll post all the progress...happy new year....

Just the update: Voo Doo Child at this point is finished in mockup: now time to tear it all down for final finish. Front/ rear brakes are set, minus cables, rear back light mount- with plate- done, & I've already started prepping tins for paint. Color?: hopefully in January. I still need to trim off the rear axle, but otherwise, good to go: I'll post the progress...

What to do when one is sick?: work on your motorcycle: mock-up is nearly done on Voo Doo Child. I'll finish up the rear brake, then break down the bike for final paint & reassembly: perfect wintertime project. I'll start by painting the tank, then frame, eurathene, then reassembly. This will look great, & run as good as it will look: I'll post the progress: stay tuned...
