Danbury San Gennaro The Official Page of the Danbury San Gennaro Italian Festival! The Fifth Annual Danbury Feast of San Gennaro will be August 19-23, 2026.

The 3rd Annual Danbury San Gennaro Festival is a FREE 5-day event that will be held on the CityCenter Green located at 1 Ives Street in Danbury, CT, from August 21-25, 2024. Danbury San Gennaro 501(c)(3) is a non-profit organization. Proceeds from this event will benefit local charities, churches, food banks, and youth service organizations. Join us and support the greater Danbury community!

And that’s a wrap! All we can say is… wow. 🇮🇹

Five days. Packed streets, music rolling off the block, the smell of sausage & peppers in the air, and thousands of you shoulder to shoulder under the lights. That’s San Gennaro and you are the ones who bring this event to life.

A BIG grazie to everyone who poured into this event: the volunteers who showed up early and stayed late, the sponsors who believe in this community, and the vendors and entertainers who brought the block to life. None of it happens without you.

Planning for next year starts today, and we already can’t wait to do it all again. Stay tuned over the next couple weeks - our photographers captured the magic all weekend, and we’ll be sharing it soon.

Blue skies, the sauce is on, and Ives Street is ready to celebrate 🇮🇹

What a weekend, Danbury. The crowds, the music, the food, the fireworks — you showed up and made San Gennaro 2026 one for the books. And today we bring it home the right way: one more beautiful afternoon and night together on the block.

Here’s what’s on tap:

🎸 Shooting Star: A Tribute to Bad Company — 7–8PM & 9–10PM

The sun is out, the sauce is on, and if you’re deciding where to spend your Saturday night — trust us, you already know 🇮🇹

Sure, there’s plenty going on this weekend. But there’s only one place with an incredible fireworks and laser light show over Ives Street, where the sausage & peppers hit the air, the band echoes off the block, and the whole neighborhood turns out together like family. This is the real thing.

Here’s what’s cooking tonight:

🌌 Laser Light Show, 9–10PM

We’re back on Ives Street and just getting started — three more days of feast, and tonight is STACKED.

🎤 5–7PM: Vittorio Di Carlo, “The Graceful Tenor”
🎸 8–9 & 10–11PM: THE ZOO takes the stage (thank you Orthopaedic Specialists!)
🎆9–10PM: LASER LIGHT SHOW lighting up the night

Bring the appetite. Sausage & peppers, fresh zeppole, pizza, and every Italian classic you’ve been craving. Rides for the kids, live music all night, and that feast energy you can only get in Danbury.

Thank you, Danbury! The opening night of the 5th Annual San Gennaro Festival was packed with great food, great music, and the best community around. If you were there, you felt the energy — and if you missed it, don’t worry, there’s plenty more Feast to come. ❤️

’Twas the night before San Gennaro, and all through the street,
The vendors were prepping the peppers and meat.
The zeppoles were sugared, the sauce simmered slow,
In hopes that tomorrow the crowds soon would show.

The lights hung on Ives Street, all twinkling and bright,
The rides stood at rest for their very first night.
The stage was all set and the banners were strung—
Red, white, and green over old and young.

When out in the dark there arose such a cheer,
Five nights of the Feast were about to appear!
So bring all your famiglia, come hungry, come loud—
Tomorrow on Ives Street, come join in the crowd.

He’ll smile from above, our San Gennaro true,
With sausage and music and fireworks too.
And you’ll hear him exclaim as the first night ignites—
“Happy Feast to you all, and to all a good BITE!” 🌭🎆
