Not to give brother Buck Walker any competition but, with the upcoming gun seasons about to begin I’ve got this funny little story from a few years back. Hope you get a chuckle out if it!
I was walking into an area that a recent tornado had blown through, needless to say trees were down everywhere so I had to pick and choose my way through. I tripped over a log I didn’t see, pitched my 30-06 10 to 12’ ahead of me on my way down, did a nice face plant. I laid there for a few minutes before making it to my hands and knees looking around for my gun. I didn’t intentionally pitch it it just took off when I fell. I finally saw it up ahead, I sat up on the log I fell over and looked around a bit before retrieving it. I look about 5 yards further than my gun, there was a pretty, young 6 point standing there staring at me with a look of maybe, what a du***ss ! I laughed, eased in to get my gun and proceed to where I was going to hunt, the deer literally almost ran over me getting out of there!
