I’m excited to announce the opening of the Carpenter Quilts Loft coming in early October!

This will be a designated space located above Carpenter Quilts’ retail space with its own level entry, and it is going to be perfect for our classes, mini retreats, get-togethers, charity work and so much more.

Not quilting related, but quilting adjacent, and brought to you ironically by two quilting friends both named Linda! ❤️❤️
Community is by far the most magical part of quilting and other fiber crafts. In one week, I finally made a successful loaf of sourdough thanks to Linda who heard from another quilting friend that I needed a helping hand, brought me a bit of her starter, gave me a very laid back set of instructions (which is actually encouraging because I think I was overthinking it!), and sent me off with a ‘you can do this’ and ‘let me know how I goes’.
The other Linda participates in historic reenactments and was at the Windsor Fair on Sunday in her camp spinning yarn, making natural dye, quilting, and teaching folks like me how things used to be done long, long ago. Her friend gave the kids and I a lesson in spinning, and sent us home with the supplies to keep practicing. While fun, it’s challenging and my yarn is not consistent but I was able to knit up a swatch, which was very satisfying!
I shared this all to say that I’m incredibly thankful for the community of friendship, support and camaraderie that quilting has brought over the years, and I hope that if you don’t already, you’ll consider joining us for classes, Getaway Wednesday, or other events coming in the future. We have SEW much fun, and you never know what you might gain or be able to share. ❤️❤️❤️

QT Fabrics Now carries batik fabrics! I purchased a few bolts to see what they’re offering, and I think you’re going to love these!
They’re called Raja Batiks, and they are soft, lovely and priced just right at $11.75/yard. 🤩

I love gift giving and surprises, and I hope that you find this product to be joyful, useful and of course FUN as we anticipate December 25th and Jesus’ birthday!

The Advent calendar contains 25 surprise items ranging from notions, treats, gifts, a small project and more, each chosen carefully by Jenna to keep your sewing area well stocked and your quilting inspiration flowing, with some special goodies sprinkled in.

The Advent calendar will be packaged in practical, eco-friendly materials with a few pops of holiday glitz.

Our goal in designing this was to create a thoughtful, budget-friendly product that is both useful AND fun, making this the perfect gift for yourself, a group of friends who want to celebrate together, or a quilter that you love.

Hello, friends! It took a while, but Carpenter Quilts finally has WOOL! And to kick things off, we've decided to create a "Block Of The Month" based on Riley Blake's new wool offerings! This program will be great for beginners and experienced alike. This is a 12 month program, and I have 4 spots remaining. Here are the details:

What you get:
One Layer Cake of Riley Blake wool
One package of Wonderfil perle cotton size 8 threads to match (12 spools!)
Twelve Individual patterns, one for each month
One yard each of black and white wool

First month: $176.25 for the initial supplies
Months 2-12: $16.75/month for the next pattern and background wool square
Optional Purchases: Size 24 chenille needles, teflon pressing sheet, double sided fusible interfacing, temporary adhesive spray (priced individually)

BONUS: One 2-hour class each month when the new pattern is handed out with Susie! This will be a great time to ask questions, get started on the next block, or work on spots where you need to catch up.
