Reposting two black and white photos I shot at a photoshoot a few years ago in HCMC of the model and the photographer. The color shot was taken by the photographer.

The model wears an Ao Dai style dress I created with a collage of portrait photos I shot of women and printed in the dark room, then I scanned the prints and made the collage.

Images were published in Bazaar Viet Nam.

I still love to take portrait photos with black and white film. I shot a roll recently at a film festival in Hollywood. Photos coming soon!

This is yours if…
you’re the kind of person who feels calm the second the city lights start reflecting on the water.

If the Bay Bridge holds memories for you—late-night drives, big life changes, or that one trip you still think about—this isn’t just a pretty picture on your feed. It’s a way to bring that feeling into your everyday space.

Imagine this glowing over your couch, in your entryway, or behind your desk… the lights on the bridge, the shimmer in the water, all printed with real depth and detail instead of getting lost in a scrolling blur.

You don’t have to just “like” my work and keep moving.
You can actually own it.

Hit the link in my bio to grab this piece as a print and explore the rest of my collection. Let these moments live on your walls, not just on your screen.

Shadows of the Tropics

Experience the timeless allure of silver halide photography with "Shadows of the Tropics."

Captured through the lens of a vintage Nikon F, this study of a Fan Palm transcends a simple botanical record to become a masterpiece of light and geometry. The high-contrast black and white composition emphasizes the architectural precision of the palm fronds, while the dramatic, overlapping shadows create a secondary, abstract layer of depth.

This is not a digital reproduction; it is the result of a traditional, tactile process. Shot on black and white film and meticulously hand-printed in a traditional darkroom, the image possesses a rich grain and a tonal range that modern sensors simply cannot replicate.

Product Details:

Medium: Traditional Black & White Silver Gelatin Print.

Equipment: Nikon F with Nikkor optics.

Style: Minimalist / Mid-Century Modern / Botanical Noir.

Framing: Available in museum-quality gallery frames with acid-free matting to preserve the darkroom chemistry for generations.

Perfect for: Sophisticated living spaces, minimalist offices, or collectors of traditional film photography who appreciate the "slow" art of the darkroom.

This striking black-and-white image presents a solitary figure standing on calm waters, surrounded by a veil of mist. The soft interplay of light and shadow creates a serene atmosphere, inviting contemplation. The shimmering reflections on the water's surface enhance the sense of tranquility, making it a captivating focal point for any space. A perfect addition to evoke a sense of peace and introspection in your home or office.

Nature’s color palette never fails to amaze me. This rose, with its blend of orange and pink, was a perfect reminder to look for beauty in the everyday. I love capturing these moments and sharing a bit of that warmth with you all. What’s blooming in your world right now?

Starting the week with a sense of calm and mystery. This black-and-white coastal scene always reminds me how nature’s quiet moments can be the most powerful. The mist, the waves, and those pyramid-shaped rocks—sometimes the best stories are told in silence.

What’s your favorite place to find peace at the start of a busy week?

I shot this photo back in 2006 for an assignment for my photo class to illustrate a song or a poem.

This is for the Jimi Hendrix song 'Castles Made of Sand"
