It's their budget, and they went out of their way to make the switch to Casella, costing the Town of Dalton transfer station/waste disposal budget how much?

Meanwhile, Pam Kathan has also apparently managed to run the Gilman Senior Center into $8,000 in debt, according to the Caledonian-Record in 2025. Makes sense to put her in charge of running the town, LOL.

Huh, so weird, those who show up from seemingly nowhere at Town Meeting, to muddle the budget vote, the same people never seen at budget hearings, are apparently not interested in sharing their depth of financial expertise as a member of the school board, equaling what, 40% of the taxpayer burden in town. How weird is that?

Is BOS candidate Pam Kathan offering free heating fuel to those in need, in Dalton only, this year? Is there an updated report on the financial well-being of the Gilman Senior Center? As reported in the Cal-Rec, that the organization was in the red $8k, under the leadership of Pam Kathan.

Gilman Senior Center Scales Back Under Mounting Debt

Now faced with an $8,000 deficit, those services are in danger.

“There’s so many things we had planned in the beginning that we’re having a hard time trying to reach and have had to put aside because we’re trying to figure out how we’re going to stay open,” said Pam Kathan, who serves as a volunteer, secretary, treasurer, and the director of the Gilman Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels.

The Gilman Senior Center is reducing its operation to reduce an $8,000 deficit. On February 4, the Gilman Senior Center shifted to a new schedule.

Subject: Four Arrested in Organized Retail Crime Investigation
Littleton, NH

On January 27, 2026, the Littleton Police Department arrested four individuals in connection with an Organized Retail Crime Enterprise involving thefts from the Home Depot in Littleton that occurred between November and December of 2025.

The following individuals were arrested on warrants:
• Keith Gillilan, 48, of Lisbon
• Ryan Gauthier, 41, of Dalton
• Crystal Pilotte, 41, of Dalton
• Ryan Mooney, 41, of Dalton

All four individuals were charged with Organized Retail Crime Enterprise, a Class B felony. In addition:
• Ryan Gauthier was charged with six counts of Willful Concealment
• Crystal Pilotte was charged with six counts of Willful Concealment
• Ryan Mooney was charged with one count of Willful Concealment

The group is alleged to have conspired to steal merchandise valued at thousands of dollars from Home Depot. This criminal activity was discovered and reported by Home Depot Asset Protection Specialists, whose assistance was instrumental in the investigation.

Chief Paul J. Smith stated, “This case reflects outstanding work by our detectives and strong cooperation with Home Depot’s asset protection team. It also serves as an important reminder that organized retail theft ultimately impacts every consumer through higher prices.”

All four individuals were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to appear for arraignment on April 14, 2026, at the Littleton District Court.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

More misinformation from the pro-Casella, pro-landfill surrogates/consultants as this mass mailer hit Dalton mailboxes on Saturday. Your neighbors who live near Forest Lake had nothing to do with this effort to protect the town from the pro-landfill agenda of the 2 selectmen, Tom Dubreuil and Eric Moore, and their puppet master, Pam Kathan, all of whom are suspected of being paid "consultants" of Casella, just as Vic StCyr admittedly was.

The 2 petitioned warrant articles were the idea and effort of folks on the other side of Dalton Mountain who are apparently concerned by the actions of the pro-landfill selectboard as they attempt to give away the town to Casella, leaving millions of dollars on the table. The vote of no confidence in Selectman Tom Dubreuil should be obvious, the man has proven to be completely inept and cares only about all things Casella and the landfill money. Do you want him to be in charge of negotiations with Casella on behalf of the town?

There will be a special town meeting this Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 7PM at the Dalton Municipal Building. IF you can attend, please vote YES on the 2 petitioned warrant articles to protect the town from these people who care only about themselves. If you've attended any selectboard meetings, you've witnessed how they have treated beloved Town Clerk and Town Admin Jeanette Charon, one of the kindest and most caring people in the world, with contempt and disrespect, leading to charges of a hostile work environment being filed against them. THAT should tell you what is in their hearts.

I will add that it is very sad to see how those of us who live closest to the proposed landfill site have been denigrated and demeaned for going on 6 years now, simply for exercising our rights as citizens in defending our properties, our homes, our family's' health and safety, by those selfish, short-sighted people who care only about money in their advocacy for an unwanted, unneeded landfill that poses a significant threat to all who will live near it.

Fortunately, much of this is really moot, as Governor Kelly Ayotte has stated unequivocally that "there will be no landfill at Forest Lake in Dalton. We will not allow that beautiful part of our state, and that beautiful area, to become a dumping ground for out-of-state trash, it’s just not going to happen.”
