Highland dancing is a traditional dance form showcasing the heritage of Scotland, and our dancers get to wear Kilts, dance to bagpipes, perform regularly, and compete if they choose! Another awesome competition at the Spokane Scottish Highland Games! Everyone danced very well.
Josephine, Eleanor, and Talie won their groups!
Anna, Elsie, Ayla, and Esme danced in their first competition in the Beginner and Primary categories!
Gwendolyn competed in Novice for the first time!
This was Charlotte's first competition as part of LCHD and Ava her last before university, and they both got fantastic placings!
Bethany, Angela, Frances, and Hannah danced wonderfully and got super great placings!

We are extremely proud of all the dancers!!!

We are so incredibly proud of our students Talie and Bethany Hawkins this weekend at the USA National Championships!

In the main event which dancers must qualify for by placing top 3 at the Regional Championships, Bethany placed 1st Runner Up, Talie placed 2nd Runner Up, and Kasey (Their sister from Florida) placed 5th Runner Up!

During the weekend the girls competed in several other events. Bethany placed 2nd in her Solo Choreography and was Champion of both the Premiership and Open Championship!

Talie won her Solo Choreography, 1st Runner Up in the Premiership and Open Championship, and was a last-minute fill-in for a Broadsword team that placed 2nd!

Kasey placed 4th in her Solo Choreography, 1st Runner Up in the Premiership, 2nd Runner Up in the Open Championship, and danced in the Broadsword with Talie that placed 2nd!
