What happens when nature-inspired artists get their own eyes turned into art?

We had the pleasure of meeting our incredible booth neighbors, Fenix and Hayden from , at the Collectors Expo in Arlington and captured the stunning detail inside their eyes!

Much like the mythical Phoenix rising into new life, Fenix takes nature’s most delicate wonders—from ethically sourced butterflies pinned on rich crushed velvet to plush rabbit furs—and gives them an everlasting second life. Seeing their two unique irises side by side in one custom framed piece was pure magic.

Recently moved to Texas from Colorado, Dante and Karolina came to Light of Your Iris at Michaels Mansfield to turn their eyes into art — but what stood out to us most was the way they experienced it together.

Big sister Hailey had the perfect birthday gift in mind for her little sister, Henzlie!

How much beauty can be hiding in a pair of eyes?

Dontrell and Jessica made the drive from McKinney in the rain to celebrate Jessica’s birthday with a one-of-a-kind iris art experience at Michaels Mansfield.

Once we photographed their eyes with our high-resolution macro camera, all the patterns, and textures that are difficult to see with the naked eye came to life. Their irises looked incredible together—and what a meaningful way to remember Jessica’s birthday.
