Update: I finally have it back in hand.

The Xtra Muse is a DJI Osmo Pocket–style camera. The first one I had ended up with a broken screen, so I sent it in for repairs.

I got it back about two weeks ago, so expect more videos, tips, tricks, and recommendations coming your way!

The more you shoot, the more you score.

Just like basketball, life follows the same principle.

When I play, I like to observe my game and compare it to real life. Basketball is such a reaction-based sport—it reveals a lot about your habits and mindset if you’re paying attention.

In my last video, I realized something: I don’t shoot enough to score a lot. And in real life, I’ve felt the same way—I don’t always take enough shots or chances to be successful.

And honestly, I’d be a fool to expect success if I’m not putting myself in position to earn it.

So this game gave me a glimpse of what it looks like when I actually take my shots. Now it’s time to mirror that in real life.

PS: To everyone saying I didn’t call backboard on that jump shot… I clearly got fouled 😂

The real value is in community. Here’s why…

As the value of money continues to go up and down, the value of community is steady on the rise.

Being able to learn from other’s mistakes and gain from other’s successes within that community is a huge upside.

And not to fear-monger but God forbid it all goes downhill. We will still be left with each other to barter and trade goods and services like we always have.

I have a theory about all of this!

Think about meeting someone new for the first time. You’re never 100% yourself right away, right? You’re nervous. You send your “representative” - the version of you that you want people to see.

Well, that’s exactly what happens with cameras!

The more time you spend with someone, the more comfortable you get. Same thing with recording videos. The more I talk to this camera lens, the more I can finally stop sending my “representative” and just be ME.

So I get on here and get my reps in like anyone else would have to do.

The Beat Grid in Final Cut Pro is finally here

This is how I will be using the beat grid in my workflow moving forward.

It makes it way easier to add some rhythm into my edits.

I wish I would have updated my Final Cut Pro before editing latest YouTube video.

PS. This was the video I was editing when Xayli was making her IG post about my OSMO NANO for those who were asking lol.

Here’s why this is the perfect little GYM Content Camera

I have been using this DJI Osmo Nano combo along with the

- Smallrig Half Cage
- ULANZI Super Clamp Camera Clamp

And it had been super clutch in the gym. Obviously it’s form factor is good because it’s so small.

No need to feel embarrassed, recording with the camera this small.

And coupled with the accessories that I have attached is really cool because most of the cameras have the magnet, but you would be surprised how much things are not made of metal.

Basketball can make you a better at content creation…..

OK, not exactly but what I’m trying to say is the practice of being present while playing basketball and realizing that to contribute to the greater success of the team you do need to shoot the ball.

I’ve been playing basketball since I was 12 years old and it’s kind of always just been something that I did unconsciously. I’ve always suffered with performance anxiety while playing competitively in my younger years.

Moving to Texas I found this league and thought it would be a fun way to stay in shape and get some cardio. But what it really taught me is how to stay present in the moment and stop overthinking everything.

The not shooting enough is a part of me overthinking everything and we can’t score If we don’t shoot. A lot of the times we don’t shoot for things in life is because we are not present we are either in the future or in the past mentally.

So sometimes some unplanned, sloppy action can spark a change for the better.

Skip Color Grading and try DJI’s Film Tones

So DJI has finally expanded their Film Tones to the DJI NANO with their latest firmware update.

Shoutout to for voicing my intro lol.

This new update includes six new film tones that simulate the cinematic film look. So in essence they are kind of like filters but to me they are a bit more powerful.

In this video, I tried them out in real time to see how they hold up. You should try them out as well, Let me know what you think.

I have really been sleeping on this little camera

I have really been a DJI Osmo Pocket kind of guy but, using this DJI Nano for the last couple of days I can see why it’s punching up in its weight class.

What really takes it a step over in performances is that it’s small and discreet and in combination using it with the Mimo app it’s so convenient.

The accessories I used to get these shots are

-TELESIN Magnetic Quick-Release Charging Adapter Mount.
-ULANZI Super Clamp Camera Clamp
-SmallRig Half Cage
-SmallRig Nano VND 1-5 Stop

OK, so this is what happened to my MUSE the other day.

While I was trying to record videos while operating the Xtra Muse, I flipped open the screen and it would not return to its original closed position.

After that, I went online to see if this is a common problem that happens with this camera and the Osmo Pocket 3, and I discovered that this is very common.

We do own the Osmo Pocket 3, but we have never experienced any problems or physical malfunctions where that is concerned, so we were not aware of the issue.

We have been recommending the Osmo Pocket and the Xtra Muse in our membership for some time now due to the ease of use, the size of the camera, its versatility, and how compact it is.

I do still think this camera is amazing, but I will be warning my students that if they do purchase this camera, it may come with these problems and/or complications, and to proceed with caution.

Like I said in the video, my solution to handle this camera with extra care is to not flip open the screen and just operate the camera in the closed position. Switching the orientation from vertical to horizontal is easy and can be accessed through the drop-down menu at the top.

We will be sending the camera back and we will keep you updated on our experience with customer service. (🔥music by )
