OK, so this is what happened to my MUSE the other day.
While I was trying to record videos while operating the Xtra Muse, I flipped open the screen and it would not return to its original closed position.
After that, I went online to see if this is a common problem that happens with this camera and the Osmo Pocket 3, and I discovered that this is very common.
We do own the Osmo Pocket 3, but we have never experienced any problems or physical malfunctions where that is concerned, so we were not aware of the issue.
We have been recommending the Osmo Pocket and the Xtra Muse in our membership for some time now due to the ease of use, the size of the camera, its versatility, and how compact it is.
I do still think this camera is amazing, but I will be warning my students that if they do purchase this camera, it may come with these problems and/or complications, and to proceed with caution.
Like I said in the video, my solution to handle this camera with extra care is to not flip open the screen and just operate the camera in the closed position. Switching the orientation from vertical to horizontal is easy and can be accessed through the drop-down menu at the top.
We will be sending the camera back and we will keep you updated on our experience with customer service. (🔥music by )
