Halloween is almost here. The time is ripe to get some spooky reads for the season.
I'd like to present to you my Folklore Series. This is a 4 book anthology, each book focusing on a different creature from classic mythology and folklore you might have read about, but with the Yoakumverse twist.
Book 1 - Redcap. Follow Kyle West as he returns home for a death in the family and is soon having repressed memories resurface about his childhood where he was tormented by a diminutive little monster in a blood red cap.
Book 2 - Baba Yaga. Young Veronika has lost her brother to a dark spirit in the woods. Soon she is shunned as a witch and flees into those same woods, only to encounter a kindly old woman who promises to teach her the ways of true magic.
Book 3 - Incubus. Lenny Lowell had bad sleep paralysis in his youth, but it went away in his teens, but now fifteen years later it has returned along with the shadowy figure that lurks in his bedroom at night as he is frozen, forced to endure the sights and sounds of the nightmare world.
Book 4 - Krampus. My own unique take on the origin of both Krampus and Santa borders on the sci-fi. My Krampus isn't like the hairy, horned fiend you've seen a thousand times. My Krampus is much different, almost like an undead, but worse. With ties to my Targothian Trilogy, this book is perhaps the most controversial of my four Folklore Series books.
