Back to basics ! Still life study after a long time . I think the last time I made a still life was for my HS students . Enjoyed so much that I’m thinking of creating a mini series of still life paintings . Stay tuned !

I’ve always loved painting, but life pulled me away for a while.
Coming back to it feels like coming back to myself.
Each brushstroke heals parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing.
It’s quiet, it’s grounding, and it reminds me that some joys are meant to wait patiently for us.
Art has always been home.

A season where I was less posting but still creating , teaching and living in between..
1 . Making a still life oil painting lesson for my high school .
2. Pinterest worthy Middle school Polaroid landscapes 🥹
3. Framing an art piece for a friend
4. I used to make handmade posters for classroom management lol dedication
5. Compiling all my lessons to post in TPT one day InshaAllah 🙏
6. Unfinished oil painting , I will always use burnt sienna for underpainting and you can’t tell me otherwise.
7. My kids appreciate me so much that my hard work pays off.

ٰهَٰذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِّي
This is by the grace of my Lord.

Alhamdulillah for 2025.. with all its highs and lows.
We survived days we thought we wouldn’t,
and Allah carried us through moments we didn’t think
we were strong enough for.

Every strength I thought was mine,
every healing I didn’t know how to ask for,
every step forward despite uncertainty
it was never me alone.

This painting is a quiet reminder to my heart:
everything I have, everything I create,
and everything I overcome
is by His mercy alone.

May Allah bless this year with ease , barakah and abundance ameen 🤲🏻
