I absolutely adore the McKinney Cotton Mill! The greenery outside makes it feel like you’re stepping into a whole new world. 🌿✨

Kalyn & Matthew had THE best music taste, and creating their playlist was so much fun! About an hour into the dancing, we had a little unexpected plot twist—the power went out! 😂 But your girl came prepared with a backup plan, and we kept the party going!

TLDR; DJ Kelly Hooper is the BEST. If I could give 150 million stars I absolutely would. You should’ve hired her yesterday for all events for the rest of your life. About an hour into the night after our guests arrived, the power went out at our wedding and Kelly was a key player to our unsung heroes of the entire night!! She managed to get the music back up and still played every song we requested for the night and adapted to change like no one’s business. She got lighting from her set up emergency kit and set it out, organizing other staff to solve the day. Absolutely not the expectation of her role but truly cared about the time we were going to have and went out of her way to make everything happen. Seriously, we still have guests telling us a month later, “wait the power went out?” Like they never knew.“

“Burnout isn’t a badge of honor.”

Read that again. 👏🏼

2026 has been really, really good to me, and I’m beyond thankful. This year I made a promise to myself: be a little pickier about the events I take on and actually make time for… me. What a concept. 😂

Being a small business owner means you’re the owner, CEO, DJ, marketing department, admin, accountant, therapist (sometimes 😅), contract sender, and professional problem solver. It’s a lot.

I’m incredibly thankful that I’m sought after, but I also realized I didn’t build this business just to answer emails at 11:30 p.m. while eating dinner over my laptop.

This year I’ve made it a point to touch more grass, spend more time with the people I love, travel, and remember that the world won’t end if I don’t post an Instagram Reel every five minutes.

Social media has a funny way of making us think we have to constantly hustle to stay relevant. But you know what’s actually relevant? Your mental health. Your family. Your friendships. Your peace.

Turns out the algorithm can wait… and if it can’t, oh well. 🤣

I’ve never felt more refreshed, more creative, or more excited about my business than I do right now.

So here’s your reminder: go buy yourself flowers, take the trip, touch some grass, call your family, pet the neighborhood squirrels (they’re counting on you 🐿️🤣), and stop treating burnout like it’s an accomplishment.

God has been so good to me, and I’m thankful for every single blessing. Here’s to building a business we love without forgetting to love the life we’re building too. 🙌🏼🤍

From the moment guests arrived, the energy was contagious. Their playlist was packed with feel-good favorites, singalongs, and the perfect mix of throwbacks that kept the dance floor busy all night long. It’s always such a joy when couples trust me to create the soundtrack for one of the biggest days of their lives.

And can we talk about the vendor team? Absolute rockstars. Events like this are a reminder that when talented people come together with one goal—to give a couple the best day ever—magic happens.

Not every event is about a packed dance floor… and that’s the beauty of being a DJ.

Sometimes my job is to create the perfect soundtrack while everyone catches up, makes new connections, and enjoys the evening. And sometimes… there’s a mechanical bull upstairs stealing all my thunder. 🤣

No complaints though—I got in a little practice session, set the vibe, and had my own dance party. Every event serves a different purpose, and I genuinely love them all. 🎶✨

What a fun night with Taittinger Champagne, the official champagne partner of the FIFA World Cup! 🥂⚽️

My dance floor had some serious competition from the mechanical bull upstairs, so tonight was definitely more about setting the mood than packing the floor. It happens 🤷‍♀️ Sometimes it’s nice to just curate the perfect laid-back soundtrack and have your own little dance party behind the booth. 🤣

One of my favorite moments of the night? My client remembered that I don’t drink and surprised me with a bottle of non-alcoholic wine for me 🥹 I feel so fancy rn 🤣

I love this little life of mine. Grateful for the opportunities, the amazing clients, and another night doing what I love. ✨
