We are excited to welcome Sarah onto the team this Fall!!

Church of the Incarnation in Dallas, Texas is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Palmer as the 2026–2027 Gerre Hancock Sacred Music Intern.

The Gerre Hancock Internship, offered through the Association of Anglican Musicians, is a ten-month training position designed to form the next generation of church musicians through sustained work in choral leadership, liturgical organ playing, and the daily rhythm of a vibrant parish music program. At Incarnation, the intern—also known as the organ scholar—plays an integral role in supporting the parish’s choral and liturgical life while developing the practical and artistic skills needed for future leadership in sacred music.

Selected through a national search and highly competitive audition process, Sarah brings exceptional musical ability, thoughtful and disciplined musicianship, and a clear sense of vocation for the work of the Church.

Sarah will begin her tenure on August 1, 2026. Please join us in welcoming her to Incarnation.

We are looking forward to two wonderful events today.

First, join us for the final Bach’s Lunch cantata concert of the season, featuring BWV 192 and BWV 106. We are especially delighted to welcome Michael McCarthy of Washington, D.C., who will be here to conduct. You will not want to miss it. Today at 12:15 p.m. in the Church.

Second, we are thrilled to welcome back The Tallis Scholars for what promises to be an extraordinary concert. Tonight at 7:30 p.m.
