Hey guys. So here's what's up.
The reason why we don't publish prices for one class-the one time we tried it, 10 people showed up to support the local choreos and then the other 30-40 showed up for the last class. We lost money, and essentially paid for everyone to take one class, and for two amazing choreographers to teach 10 people. If everyone was as hungry and supportive as you, we wouldn't have any issues doing it that way. There are many people who are, don't get me wrong.
However, we only had 20 people come out for the workshop yesterday. We hope that it came down to scheduling conflicts and traffic since it was Friday. We never charge enough to make any significant amount of money. For this workshop, we needed about 40 people to come to break even.
So here we are. We have another big choreographer lined up for march, but we lost so much money that we don't know if we can afford to move forward with it.
So there you have it. We love what we do, and the workshop was amazing. And there were several of you who are amazing who just couldn't make it out. Those of you who are defending yourselves are not the ones who the passive aggressiveness has been aimed towards. You are all wonderful and have been there with us and supported and danced and we love you so much. We just get tired you know? It's hard not to get burnt out when only some people are serious and so many claim to be.
So this was long, and maybe excessive. But hopefully people will see this and see transparency. Cards on the table. We do this because we want a community. We don't make money from it and we don't have any weird motives. We just want Dallas to be what we know it can be. Peace love and dance everyone.
