Hugh Beebower and Denise Sloan, a father-daughter team, photograph amazing places, abundant wildlife and scenes of the Old West. Hugh Beebower shoots the pictures. Denise Sloan handles the business and occasionally sneaks out to take photos of her own. Hugh grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania with an interest in cowboys and Indians. In fact, he's still looking for that illusive Indian relative in

his family's history. Hugh first became a tool and die maker, but he eventually realized photography was his dream. While serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, he began documenting his experiences with a camera. This cemented his desire to pursue photography. He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1972. Hugh headed to Texas where he and his brother Gordon opened Beebower Brothers Photography in 1977. For 35 years, the brothers delivered high quality commerical advertising photography for their clients around the country. They were known around Dallas as "The Killer Bees". In 2012, they decided to retire and Hugh was free to pursue his real love--Old West and wildlife photography. He uses a camera, Photoshop and lots of energy to create the images that just won't leave his head: cowboys on bucking broncos, stampeding horses, giant buffalos, magical glittering hummingbirds, backlit stagecoaches, intense hawks and chuckwagons. Today Hugh and Irene, his wife of 48 years, live in Dallas, Texas. Denise and her husband Jonathan move often, but still keep up with Hugh's photo adventures.
