Spent the morning prepping the first batch of hub caps for the August 8 painting workshop at North Haven Gardens. Before class each found hub cap is degreased, cleaned and primed with the backs finished off in black so the new “canvas” is ready for your creative touch! Hub caps come in many different designs -which one inspires you? Plan to join us for a fun and creative afternoon!

Still time to sign up for the Hub Cap Painting Workshop on August 8. It’s been a busy time cleaning and preparing the hub caps for our fun and creative afternoon spent in air conditioned comfort! The classroom is located at North Haven Garden’s Ralph & Rose Cafe and Gift Boutique which serves refreshing drinks and delicious snacks. I stopped by today and was wowed by the nurseries beautiful flowering plants Very inspiring! Love this location for an art workshop!

I do love a circle and especially love when friends bring me a wonderful treasure they think I could use. 🛞Thanks to Bonnie Wolfe for the shiny black hub cap, Whitney Wolf for the large Tesla hub cap, Paula Selzer for the slide carousel and Beverly Ann Moore for the vintage movie reel! Such terrific possibilities and friends!

Taking advantage of a ‘cooler’ morning to work on my latest hub cap. Love using paint daubers to make interesting patterns and painted flowers on bottlecaps which will be added to the lugnuts later.
