A new way of experiencing the Dallas Symphony just got closer.

In partnership with Cosm Dallas, we shared an exclusive first look at what's possible when the symphony experience meets immersive technology. Audiences had the opportunity to watch selections from Stravinsky's Firebird with Music Director Fabio Luisi from a spectacular new perspective. It was one that felt less like watching the orchestra and more like stepping on the stage, sitting amongst the orchestra. Stravinsky was a composer who consistently pushed musical boundaries, so it was only fitting to experience his music in a way that pushes boundaries of its own.

Thanks to Cosm and Presenting Sponsor Truist, this evening offered a glimpse at what's possible when world-class artistry and groundbreaking technology come together. By bringing the Dallas Symphony experience into an immersive new environment, we're exploring new ways to connect audiences with orchestral music.

If this video doesn't make you want to go experience it for yourself...🤩

The last time we performed Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 was in February 2025 with Music Director Fabio Luisi. Now, we're bringing it to Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church on September 18 as the first concert of our DSO on the Go series this season, with Assistant Conductor Shira Samuels-Shragg leading that iconic opening!

Learn more at bit.ly/4glUJPl, and if this has you wanting a little more Beethoven before the concert, revisit our February 2025 performance on medici.tv at bit.ly/45GKQ9J.

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Enrico Lopez-Yañez as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Creative Director & Principal Conductor of Pops and Specials! 🎉

Since joining the DSO as Principal Conductor of Dallas Symphony Presents in the 2023/24 season, Enrico has brought creativity, energy and a deep commitment to connecting with audiences. If you've ever attended one of his concerts, you know just how thrilling and engaging they are. In his new role, Enrico will build on that momentum by serving as an artistic partner in shaping the DSO's non-classical programming and developing new concert experiences while continuing to conduct multiple programs each season.

We look forward to working with Enrico in this new role and seeing where his artistic vision takes us in this exciting new chapter for the DSO! Learn more: bit.ly/4clyk3P

North Texas Giving Day is now open, so we're taking a moment to reintroduce ourselves. 👋

If you've ever attended a DSO concert, you may know us for the music on stage, but there is so much that happens beyond those performances. As a non-profit, our mission is to inspire and change lives through musical excellence, and that means showing up in our community in many different ways.

When you make a donation to the DSO, you're helping bring free music education to schools in South Dallas, connect with communities across North Texas through free Parks Concerts and, of course, bring world-class performances to the Meyerson.

Swipe through to see some of the ways the DSO shows up in our community, and how your support helps make it all possible!

A little behind-the-scenes work is underway at the Meyerson (and Anna Lapwood, this one's for you). 💡

Have you ever noticed the beautiful onyx panels surrounding the Lay Family Concert Hall organ? Behind those panels are lightbulbs that help illuminate the organ, and every now and then, they need replacing.

A big shoutout to our operations team for helping prep the concert hall before the start of the 2026/27 season.

It all kicks off next week! See what's in store at dallassymphony.org.
