Talley Dunn Gallery is committed to exhibiting outstanding and groundbreaking contemporary art in a variety of media by established and emerging artists. The gallery works very closely with a stable of nearly twenty artists on exhibitions, projects, and publications. In addition to organizing year-round exhibitions at the gallery, Talley Dunn Gallery collaborates with numerous museums, institutions, and galleries from coast to coast on exhibitions and acquisitions. The gallery encourages the growth and development of gallery artists through the combination of an ambitious exhibition program and an ongoing dialogue with museum curators and art critics from the United States and Europe. In addition, the gallery gives considerable attention to the cultivation of private collectors and their interests in contemporary art. Talley Dunn Gallery is honored to be a member of the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA), New York.

Talley Dunn Gallery is pleased to present renowned photographer and multimedia artist Letitia Huckaby and her exhibition “An Invitation to Madison County” on view October 10 through December 19, 2026.

This exhibition features new work drawn from the artist’s Madison Project, a series of thirty-two woven textiles exploring the landscape, family, and history of Madison County, Virginia.

Beginning with intensive research in early 2025 and numerous site visits, the artist delved into the rich and powerful history of Madison County and the surrounding area. Huckaby explored the fertile and lush landscape, historic buildings, and the elders of the community.

The works are rendered as woven textiles, extending Huckaby’s longstanding engagement with photography and materiality. By translating photographic images into cloth, Huckaby brings the tactile qualities of textiles to bear on the people, architecture, and landscapes she documents. The material becomes integral to how viewers encounter Huckaby’s photographs, emphasizing domesticity and family through their presence as objects and images.

Conjoined is a forty - foot sculpture of two improbable tree species whose branches are intertwined and connect in mid - air and embodies humanity’s complex relationship with the existential and utopian ideologies.

Conjoined was first installed in the middle of Madison Square Park in 2007 along with works “Defunct” and “Erratic” and acquired by The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, Texas where it is permanently on view!

Joseph Havel’s sculptural practice is rooted in an exploration of the quotidian. Domestic objects such as shirts, books, bedsheets, and curtains are cast in bronze and polyurethane resin, taking on neoclassical forms that suggest the human body and social histories of use without dictating any particular reading to the viewer. Rather, the works evoke open-ended visual poetry: their significance comes from their form, materiality, and presence.

Ugo Rondinone’s “dallas mountain” evokes the enduring primeval tradition of stacking stones as sculptures. The free standing work synthesize multiple references of megaliths and monuments but does not rely on them for power. In the tradition of abstract art, the large brightly painted stone sculpture is evidence of human presence and addresses our innate sensibility.

Talley Dunn Gallery prides itself on working with artists on ambitious site-specific projects and building collections of significance. The gallery coordinates every aspect of these comprehensive projects, including the artist selection, artwork acquisition, and final placement.

Reception trom 5p.m. - 8p.m.

Virtual Artist Panel Discussion, Thursday August 20th at 4pm MDT, CPAC Executive Director and Curator Samantha Johnston will lead a virtual panel discussion with exhibiting artists. Event is free to attend, but registration is required.

Overgrown Neuron is on view this summer in our Project Gallery! Visit us and experience a rare glimpse into Roxy Paine’s commission process for Overgrown Neuron, a monumental public sculpture at UTSW!

Roxy Paine references the dendrite forms for which he is renowned and created the composition of the neuron through detailed ink drawings, then turned to an intricate stainless-steel model before embarking on the large-scale outdoor sculpture.
