“I’m very excited to be part of this group of artists, each of us coming from different backgrounds to explore the idea of our fragile human nature, with some humor and a lot of movement.”

Sorany is a Colombian-born interdisciplinary artist based in Dallas, TX. She is assistant artistic director for Burning Woman by Over the Bridge Arts. Her practice merges diverse cultures and contemporary artistic techniques, addressing pressing issues and challenging norms through art. Sorany holds a BFA in Performing Arts & Fine Arts and has been involved in professional theatrical productions for more than 18 years.

“As a performer, my hope for this work is that by creating from our individual challenges, heartbreaks and triumphs through the pandemic, we can help the audience connect and process their own experiences. This can create conversation to help us understand the impacts of that time.”

Jennifer Mabus is a Texas-based dance artist, actively presenting work through festivals and residencies. She’s performed as a soloist with Robert Battle, Takehiro Ueyama, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, Noble Motion, and Bruce Wood Dance, among others. Currently, she teaches at TCU and TBT, and is the founding artistic director of Grackle Dance Collective.
