Brett Shipp and I share one thing in common more than anything else: we've both been around and seen a lot. In all these years, this is the first time we've ever sat down together in front of hot mics with tape rolling. As you might imagine, we have thoughts - starting with three little proposed provisions on Dallas ballots this coming Election Day. We might have to make this a regular thing. Enjoy.

In my view, my friend Dean Fearing is as responsible as anyone for putting fine Dallas dining on the map. He's also a wonderful guy who's helped countless charities over the years - and now his family needs our help. Dean's son Campbell is fighting leukemia, and they'll be swabbing cheeks today looking for potential stem cells donors. The site is Lovers Seafood & Market in Dallas, and the time will be from 11 to 4. I'll be dropping by to support the family, and I hope you'll come by too.
