Audition submissions for Bridges: Roll for Initiatives is now LIVE! The link can be found here or in our Linktree.
With Bridges: Roll for Initiative, we took questions from people who aren’t familiar with TTRPGs, as well from folk involved in the format, and interviewed fellow Dungeon and Dragons players to create a show that celebrates voices from across many role-playing tables all over the DFW metroplex. We want to examine how the world the players create impacts the actual world they live in. D&D is different for each player, holding space for anyone to be the hero, to save the world, and to be a magical badass! But from the outside looking in, it’s hard to know what D&D can actually means to people. Ultimately, we want this piece to be a night of fun storytelling with glimpses into the magical lives of the people whose imaginations create whole worlds.
Partnering with Common Ground Games, this show will take place in the private event space inside of Common Ground. The show will run September 29th-October 8th, Friday-Sunday. Rehearsals will take place virtually, starting on September 1st, then will be in person for the final week leading up to opening night. Please note, this show is dialogue heavy and will require a good amount of memorization prior to rehearsals starting. The off-book date is September 12th, with the last day to call for "Line" being September 19th.
Actors will receive a $200 stipend at the end of the run.
Deadline to submit your audition materials is August 18th.
