Been behind the drivers seat of an internationally broadcast 100% virtual corporate conference the last 3 days. Guest speakers from 5 different countries, and people tuning in from all over the world. The annual event was canceled like many others due to covid-19. We have been fortunate enough to be included in some projects during this outbreak, all while maintaining social distancing.
My client The Event Nerd asked me 2 weeks ago if I felt like going on a journey, deep diving into a new platform and doing something, at least from what we know, hasn’t been done before at this level. We did that and then some.
I truly enjoy these learning experiences and being able to push technology to its maximum capabilities (almost to the breaking point). Everyone on this one felt that way about their respected rolls and I don’t think I’ve ever been apart of a more solid team of professionals. We spent days and nights dialing in and tweaking even the most minor things. A lot of it on little sleep and an insane amount of commitment to what we love. With purpose it hardly feels like work though, and with the right people it can truly be fun.
Even after all the troubleshooting was solved the only caveat that remain was the uncertainty of the internet around the world... but we pulled it off and the model for the next one remains.
If this is how we do shows for the next year or so I’m game for it.
