Like seeing a mysterious, hazy vision outside the club at 4AM, “Golden Apparition” is a dream, a myth, a tall tale.
 
Three gilded cowboys are born from breathy darkness, discovering their own story through glittery machismo and melodramatic interludes. Clamoring to scale walls to elude their own capture, are time and space even real anymore? And what if we just all became horses?

Responding to Alex De Corte’s video piece “ROY G BIV,” our “Rufus Turpentine” personifies the relationship between symbolism and definition. A highly theatrical character, Rufus Turpentine is split into two forms, each battling for identity while shocked at the other’s existence. Each figure participates as an audience to the other while both are crucial for the success of the magical space between them. Which Rufus will get their flowers in the end? And how?
