Wishing a happy birthday to artist Kevin Todora 🎉

Known for his inventive approach to photography and sculpture, Todora transforms appropriated images through a process of cutting, drilling, and painting directly onto their surfaces. His playful interventions challenge the original purpose of the photograph, drawing attention to the physical object while revealing unexpected relationships between image, material, and meaning.

We’ve been fortunate to work with Todora for many years and have enjoyed watching his practice continually evolve. Sending our warmest wishes for the year ahead!

Now on view, ‘Riverbraids’ by Dallas-based artist and 2026 Cluley Projects Open Call Winner Katie Miller presents a new body of work exploring weaving through textiles, printmaking, and metalwork.

Using indigo dye, fibers, found objects, and cyanotype, Miller creates intuitive material compositions that reflect on ecology, memory, and our relationship to the natural and metaphysical world.

We invite you to visit the installation, with gallery hours Wednesday–Saturday from 12-5pm through June 21.

The exhibition catalog, featuring a newly commissioned text by 2026 Cluley Projects Arts Writing Mentorship recipient Jillian Wendel, is now available through our website shop. Visit the link in our bio for more information or message us for a preview.

Now on view, ‘a little more’ by Nic Nicosia offers an expanded look at the artist’s multimedia practice across sculpture, drawing, and photography.

Presented concurrently with Nic Nicosia: ‘Everyday Surreal’ at the Nasher Sculpture Center, the exhibition brings together new and recent works shaped by humor, experimentation, and emotional intimacy. Across mediums, Nicosia transforms everyday objects and observations into surreal and deeply personal reflections.

We invite you to visit the gallery and experience the exhibition in person, Wednesday–Saturday from 12–5pm. ‘a little more’ remains on view through August 1st.

Join us this Saturday, May 16 from 4-7pm to celebrate the opening of ‘Riverbraids’, an exhibition by Dallas-based artist Katie Miller, 2026 Cluley Projects Open Call Winner.

Across textiles, printmaking, and metalwork, Miller’s practice explores the physical and poetic applications of weaving. Inspired by Rebecca Solnit’s essay ‘The Blue of Distance’, the artist uses indigo dye, fibers, found objects, and cyanotype to create works that consider connection to the natural and metaphysical world.

Balancing precision with chance, Miller’s woven works mirror the fluid structures of rivers and ecological systems. Through intuitive material experimentation, ‘Riverbraids’ reflects on thresholds, memory, loss, and our relationship to the sublime.

An exclusive reading by 2026 Cluley Projects Arts Writing Mentorship recipient Jillian Wendel will take place during the opening reception, featuring their newly commissioned text “Love Is a Dog From Hell” created in conjunction with Miller’s solo presentation.

We’re excited to announce ‘a little more’, an exhibition of new and recent works by Dallas-based artist Nic Nicosia. Join us for the opening reception this Saturday, May 16, from 4–7pm.

Presented concurrently with ‘Nic Nicosia: Everyday Surreal’ at the Nasher Sculpture Center, ‘a little more’ offers an expanded look at Nicosia’s multimedia practice across sculpture, drawing, and photography. Since moving beyond the staged photography for which he first became known in the 1980s and 90s, Nicosia’s work has been defined by experimentation, wit, and emotional intimacy. His newest works transform seemingly familiar objects and observations into dreamlike constructions where humor and vulnerability coexist.

This weekend also marks the beginning of a series of public programs surrounding ‘Everyday Surreal’ at the Nasher Sculpture Center:

Wishing a happy birthday to artist Zeke Williams 🎉

We’ve had the privilege of working with Williams for over a decade, beginning with his first solo exhibition with the gallery in 2015, ‘Heat Check’, and continuing through numerous presentations including his most recent exhibition ‘Gather’. We’re grateful for the long-standing relationship we’ve built together and the continued evolution of his practice.

Known for his bold use of color and geometric pattern, Williams’ work draws from histories of ornamentation and decorative art. Through layered compositions and material experimentation, his paintings transform pattern into richly dimensional fields that balance precision with the artist’s hand.

Based in Dallas, Williams continues to refine a practice centered on beauty, excess, and the cultural value of decoration. We look forward to what’s ahead.

Currently on view, Anna Membrino’s ‘Dew’ continues her exploration of perception and memory through landscape painting. In works like ‘Drift’, the image resists a fixed point of view, unfolding through layered forms and shifting spatial logic.
 
As Ian Etter notes in his Glasstire review, “the more closely [the paintings] are observed, the more the images unravel, moving farther from a human perspective.” In ‘Drift’, he continues, “the form is both unified and broken, a slight contradiction that builds.”
 
Writing for Visual Art Source, John Zotos describes Membrino’s works as “a reality with a color scheme all their own… replete with memories, anxiety, bliss, and/or dreams,” where the viewer is drawn into an experience that feels both immersive and disorienting.
