This past spring, I was privileged to participate in a program called “Local Kitchen.” For 8 weeks, I learned about different vegetables from seed to plate, focusing on gardening, nutrition, and cooking. The program was so inspiring and well thought out, I started getting involved in local farms on my own.
Then one day, my friend Rabekha reached out about teaching as watercolor workshop for Dallas InnerCity Growers Annual Summit. I didn’t give it a second thought before agreeing! Together, she and I collaborated to create a new watercolor design based on Native Dallas Agriculture- I’m so stoked about how it turned out!!
Today, I get to teach this painting to a class full of farmers and enthusiasts who appreciate the crossover of art and agriculture! I love this community!
