Enjoy this clip of the classic song “Leylet Hob,” (“Night of Love”) composed in the 60’s by Mohamed Abdel Wahab and then sung by Oum Kalthoum. Most versions of this song are 5-15 minutes long, but the original song is up to 50 minutes long. We had our début performance as the National Arab Orchestra: Dallas Chapter on Thursday evening at the Hockaday School as guests in their winter concert called “The Sounds of Winter.” It was an honor to share Arab music and culture in an educational setting. We look forward to continuing to grow and share our work in Dallas and beyond.

Today is Giving Tuesday! Please donate to support the National Arab Orchestra: Dallas Chapter as we grow and share Arab music to promote culture in Dallas.

You are also invited to our first concert at The Hockaday School called Sounds of Winter. The concert is free, so any and all donations would be welcome!

Your donations will help support the work we are doing, including continuing to perform Arab music in and around the Dallas area, and partnering with area schools to preserve and integrate Arab culture by creating memorable musical experiences through ed­ucation and performance with emphasis on the musical traditions of the Arab World.
