NEXT WEEKEND, Sept. 19 and 20, we are shutting down Cedar Springs and turning the gayborhood into one HUGE party!

Saturday, join the Cedar Springs Merchants Association for the first-ever Oak Lawn Live Music & Arts Festival. We’re taking over four blocks with three stages, 21 musical acts and 10 straight hours of music, art and fabulousness from noon to 10 p.m.

This entire festival has been funded by CSMA and the money raised through our monthly Cedar Springs W**e Walks. Every glass you bought helped make this happen! And trust me, we’ve got a few surprises planned that you’ll definitely want to be there for.

Then rest, rehydrate and find another outfit because we’re doing it all again Sunday! The Pride In Dallas Parade kicks off at 2 p.m. down Cedar Springs, led by Grand Marshal Kelexis Davenport and hosted by Cassie Nova, Larry TheFairy and yours truly.

It’s the gay high holy weekend on Cedar Springs, so cancel your other plans and get your ass to the gayborhood! Come celebrate, have some fun and support the businesses and organizations helping keep our North Texas LGBTQ+ community loud, proud and thriving!

Dallas Eagle resident DJ Philip Webb joins Oak Lawn Live with a sound that moves from house and tech house to melodic techno. Whether the mood calls for bright grooves or something a little darker, DJ Philip Webb knows how to follow the crowd.

On Friday, September 18, the Oak Lawn Library Friends will host a ribbon-cutting celebration for the completed murals. The event begins at 10:30 a.m., with the official ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Music and refreshments will follow.
