From the Blog: When the library director alleged the Oak Lawn Branch Library was underutilized, something didn't add up. A dive into a recent facility report and current library statistics show that the data they used appears to be erroneous. The Oak Lawn Library is the SECOND highest visited branch in the entire city of Dallas.

Ten years later, we still remember.

On June 12, 2016, Pulse became the site of one of the deadliest attacks on LGBTQ people in U.S. history. Today, we honor the 49 victims, support the survivors and their loved ones, and reaffirm our commitment to a world where every LGBTQ person can live openly, safely and proudly.

We remember. We mourn. We continue the work.

Earlier this year, the rainbow crosswalks that welcomed thousands of feet to this corridor were scraped away. In their absence, we didn’t see a blank slate. We saw a canvas. And we decided to build something so bold, so enduring, and so unmistakably us that it will be far more difficult to erase or quietly remove.

An editorial on why “Nuclear Family Month” turns family values into culture-war politics and treats LGBTQ+ visibility as a threat.
