After nearly 11 incredible years with Even It Up, our beautiful Nancy, Casey Nicole, is stepping away from the band to devote more time to her young son, Kyree, and to focus on writing her own music. And while we're certainly going to miss seeing her on stage, we couldn't be happier for Casey as she begins this next chapter with her family.
Casey isn't simply someone who has been IN Even It Up. She is part of the history of Even It Up. As our original Nancy, Casey has been with us from the very beginning in 2015—through countless shows, countless miles, countless rehearsals, countless laughs, and more performances and very questionable green rooms than we could possibly count. For almost 11 years, she has brought her incredible voice, talent, energy, personality and heart to every stage she stepped onto.
But beyond all of the performances and accomplishments, we're most grateful for the person Casey has been to us. She has been a friend, a colleague, a teammate, and a huge part of our Even It Up family for over a decade.
Casey, thank you for nearly 11 years of incredible performances. Thank you for the countless nights you gave our audiences. Thank you for the laughter, the memories, the crazy adventures (Yellowstone!), the long drives, the late nights and all of the moments in between. And thank you for helping us build something that has lasted longer than any of us imagined back when we started.
We know how much Kyree means to you, and we couldn't be more excited for you to have this time with him. Watching him become such a little social-media superstar has been pretty blasted fun for all of us!
Eleven years is a remarkable run, and we are incredibly proud that you were our original Nancy. Thank you for an extraordinary chapter. You will always be a part of the Even It Up story, and there will always be a place for you in our family.
We’ll have a separate announcement tomorrow about the new Nancy, but for today, this post is all about Casey, and what she’s been to the project and to all of us.
